Jeesh a whole dealer riff
I do do my own work including motor tear downs if need be.
I can't tell the good guys at a dealership from the temp crack addicts. I always had the attitude that I don't want to be doing triple digits and worry about whether my local mechanic was having a bad day. Everytime I got a new bike setup by a dealer I pull over around the next turn. Tighten everything I think they were responsible for and sure as shootin I find something missed. On average they earned my scorn.
Pricing I asked my dealer what price a BT-014 for a 2005 gxsr rear tire was
A they have been selling lots of these bikes but of course they didn't have one.
They could order one and go down to 176 plus tax
sorry its 135 in my hand, delivered by the brown truck not another 1 hr round trip to the dealer.
If they had one I would have gone for $150 for convenience but WTF are they doing for me.
Also if some smart dealer will ship me a new bike in the crate I a better price I would buy it like that !!
And screw Yamaha when the old bike started burning oil at a rate of 1qt every 600 miles when still under warrantee they said that was acceptable usage. The internet all over with oil burning problems and they pretended to never heard a word about it.
Buy the bike, say a little prayer, change your oil. No further help will be coming
