for the time it takes & mess that it makes, IF I did my own work, I would still use throw aways.

Depends on how much you change your oil. My bike's got 2 filters and only holds 2 liters of oil, so I change it every thousand miles.For me, the Scotts filters save me money,and like Beet said, it's good to look for crap in the filter,just in case.

You can allways open up a throwaway filter too There is mess, and effort involved, but you can...
