Thats just plain humiliating being yanked over by a mt bike.

I did actually see that in action in downtown worcester one night, A guy in a car was asked to stop by a mt bike cop, he just took off , but was caught right up the street at the next stop light.
dumb ass figured a bike can never catch a car.

The cops let him go cause they were probably doing wheelies earlier in the day on their MTBs.

I can see getting away from them on a motorcycle but forget about it in a car if you're in the city.

Occasionally on bicycle forums you get bike cops posting funny stories about kids on BMX bikes, cars in traffic, etc.. trying to run from them.

That is too funny. The most humiliating - MTB's!!

I got stopped this past summer after turning on to a road from a light and lifting up the 86 VFR's front end pretty nicely. What I did not know was that a Manchester cop had pulled up to the light right behind me turning up the same road! Darn those factory POS mirrors, can't see anything behind! He was very pissed until he realized that I really did not see him. I guess he thought that I was trying to smoke him (of course if I was trying to do that I certainly would not have done so from a standing start with him right behind - and I would have gone a lot faster after leaving the light!).

After he calmed down, he "did me favor" by citing me for 60 in a 35, but he really couldn't tell how fast I was going, just how fast he going trying to get caught up. D'oh!

It was funny because I did not know where he came from so I asked "What are you stopping me for?" He started his recount of events from the wheelie - that was enough for me....

Cop #1, who talks, was riding on the wrong side of the road when he got to the intersection.

Cop #2 is riding on the sidewalk.

More great cops.
