Gonna try to take the bike out for the first run of the season tomorrow. Anyone know how Southern NH roads are lookin? I know a lot of towns still use sand and it takes forever to disappear. Did the rain clean em up or is it still a mess in the free state?
Watch out for the back roads being littered with tree branches after today's wind.
We need one more good rain storm... The salt is the worst for the bike..

Wouldn't say they're a mess but they aren't exactly great. Still plenty of washout from the recent rain, leftover sand from the towns that dropped it during the overnights and, as mentioned, plenty of downed branches.
Proceed with caution everywhere.
Thanks guys. May stay south then. Roads arent too bad around here.
I just took the SA out for a run around town. Still a bit of sand/salt down, but for the most part gone. I was more concerned with how garbage the pavement got over the winter. It was awful before, now it's downright scary.

I plan on riding Rt 119 , Rt 12, RT 101 to Vermont tomorrow. main roads seem fine.. back roads around New Ipswich, Jaffrey and Rindge are shit. Saw a few bikes out today.
Definitely need to was the bike off when I get home.

salt n sand isn't the issue, leaves are still off trees, sun is still at low angle, zebra shadow stripping across roads are hiding frost heaves & tar snakes, strobe effects not good for epileptics

Yeah not an issue... the roads were good all over except extream shit roads like where I live... there was snow on the ground over 1600 feet but on the west side of the green mountians there was nothing. The traffic in Vermont was real light so we were able to ride at a nice pace and get 230 miles in with no issues.

You didn't just ask me huh? *Crying in the corner sucking thumb*. Roads are fine, just don't lean that bad boy over when you're near the edges as it's still pretty beachy in alot of areas :-). Landscapers are out in full force already it seems, so mulch and gravel prizes are everywhere. Just bring a big backpack and small shovel and you will not only have a great ride, but finish up your landscaping for free!
