Got a call from local PD last night. Another department recovered it, ran the VIN, contacted locals, and the bike is waiting to be picked up at a tow place.
IN FUCKING PHOENIX.
The modern world is hilarious.

Bah ha ha. Nice.
Plan?
GEEZ............
Man I don't EVEN know. I have no idea what condition it's in (almost certainly shitty), what it would cost to get it transported from the tow place to my garage, or even where the hell I would put its sad desert carcass were it to show up on my doorstep tomorrow morning. I just bought another track bike *last week* and need to get my SV sold to make room for it.
Maybe NESR needs a 600cc go kart project.
Holyfuck.
Did you get insurance $ for it? If so, isn't it their problem now?
Post it for sale in the phoenix craigslist section for cheap money? Not sure if you need to take delivery or if someone could pick it up for you though.
Holy shit lol.
Quick turn around.
NESR Roach Retrieval Road Trip!
Scanned back, skimmed the posts on that.
Blowage.
Seems you own a motorcycle of unknown condition in Phoenix now.
I actually know a guy out there. Depending on where in Phoenix I may be able to coax him into dropping by the yard and getting you some photos. Maybe.
getting charged the daily storage fees???
No idea. Still need to get the number of the tow place from the PD grapevine. So yeah, probably.
Phoenix, eh? I could make a trip to Phoenix...
Casual lurker, but I live in Tucson if you need some help,

OMG you guys. After multiple calls to the tow yard and Phoenix PD, it turns out...it wasn't actually my bike that was recovered.
THE ARISTOCRATS!
WUT??
Lulz.
Well that was a roller coaster of a big Fuck You. I blame the Illuminati!
Screw it, we've come this far, let's go get it anyways! :beerbang:
So pd calls you and says they run a vin and it comes back as your bike, but tow guys say it isn't????? Sounds to me like someone at the tow yard has his eye on a cheap (free, unclaimed)07 cbr track bike. I'd be calling back the police (both departments) because that sounds very suspicious.
I hear you, but it was Phoenix PD that ultimately got super apologetic to both me and local PD about the mixup. So at worst some LEO really wants an 07 track bike, and there are probably less keystone methods available for that.
Can't wait to get the new R6 on the track. *dirt off shoulder*
