Don't these cops videotape people as they stop them?
Wouldn't that make it pretty hard to prove it wasn't you in the video?
Dealt with Groton cops before, though under a different chief - be prepared for them to have whatever certs you may request. :mad:Quote:

Thickly settled is indicated so he can show his high attention to detail since the area was unposted but 30mph was still the max. How observant, now be sure to have the RMV update your reg. to the proper color of your ride since they never did the first time you mentioned it. ;)
someone just told me im gonna get bag for this.
im gonna get 4 points total if i dont win?
2 points for the first 10 over then additional point for every 10 over?
anyone know for sure?
I was assuming he would appear during the offense and during the capture/pullover - and the two could be matched.Quote:

However maybe the cops do not put that much effort in for a simple speeding ticket. The video even if it exists could have gotten erased all ready.
FWIW -
I got bagged in New York last weekend in the wife's cage, got hit for 89 in a 65. I called an attorney in that town (Worcester, NY), and he says I send him $250, he makes the ticket into a non-moving violation, or else he sends me back the $250.
Maybe just get a lawyer to plead it down?:dunno:
I dont think a NY ticket would show up on your license so why not just pay it? How much is it?
Bruce
I dont know what the deal is these days with reciprocity, but I dont like the idea of my insurance going up. NY doesn't put the amount of the fine on the ticket, but it is a 6 point ticket.:mad:Quote:

NY State is very odd with respect to tickets.
I'm not sure if it's corruption of local governments, just weird laws, or whatever.
I got a ticket that was something like 60 in a 30 reduced to right on red in 1997. The lawyer did the whole thing for me, and I never even paid anything for the lawyer.
Something along the lines of a full conviction for speeding wouldn't let the local jurisdiction recieve the revenue, so they let it go if you'll pay them the fine for a right on red, parking violation, etc..
Never got any points out of it. :)
I know NY cant give you points. Mass has a system, I think its 1 point per ticket, 3 minor accident and 4 for major accident. But dont quote me, I am far from a proffessional. Call the Ins Co and ask, just dont tell em who you are. Ha ha...
Bruce
Since WHEN does the Commonwealth give "points" for an infraction. (ticket?)
They have a SIP or some ackroymn for their insurance rating system Which starts at 15 and goes as low as 9 to determine your rates.
It sounds like Kham is high on top the surcharge mountain, probably above 22 or so.
Either way the registry on line has the "rating" sytem which refers to how many violations lift your license............

If you get stopped in NYC, Buffalo or Albany.....you're F'd.
They offer NO rules like the rest of the state does.....
If you get a small town court you can apply ALL the legal courtesy you need provided you know how to ask for it.
I actually have step by step how to for a NY rural court ticket like 82 in a 65........................

OFFER him (the attorney) $100 CA$H and see what he can do.

hey Suf, i have clean record, step 9, for few yrs now. i dont wanna spoil this.
Suf Daddy,
My NY ticket was actually in downtown Albany... so not sure you are definitely "fucked" if you get caught. The lawyer had a pretty easy time of the whole thing.
Ah the joys of being a college student. The school basically had the lawyer sitting around waiting for people to get in trouble.
Great school to have an attorney for ya..
The closest I ever got was the Framingham public defender, who noted a blank box in my ticket and dismissed the whole ticket.
I think it was the location box.
Now We learn that radar, estimated and laser need to be checked in a speeding ticket..........

Don't be talking fowl bout the Groton authorities! Looks like the same osipher that stopped me at the CVS ta ask me why my alarm was going off. I said, “It does go off occasionally”. Whata stupid fuck. It took him a few minutes ta realize that I had a radar detector on board.:poke:Quote:
