Esmra round 5 is being held at Boxshop Speedway, Parsonsfield, ME this weekend and will be hosting an open practice Friday. Just an FYI if anyone is interested. Practice is 50 bucks and runs from 2-6.

"When there's a gap you either commit yourself as a professional racing driver that is designed to win races or you come second or you come third or come fifth, and I'm not designed to come third, fourth, or fifth. I race to win, and if you no longer go for a gap that exists, you're no longer a racing driver."

I'm angry at myself for not knowing this existed until right now...

Wait, open practice Friday? First I heard of that. I can't get out of work unfortunately so I'll just have to drop the hammer first race Saturday.![]()
Too small for a big bike? Tell me more....

It'd be VERY tight, I know they've horsed around on 250s before though. I'm running GP80 and Open Pitbike.

I love rompin the 250F on these tracks... unfortunately due to the lack of organization on ESMRA's part... I was unable to follow the series this year... hopefully they get it together next year.
For those interested in real SuMo, there's a race Aug 27 in NY @ OVRP (won't be attending due to bachelor party).

A word of advise: bring everything you will need with you before you get within 30 miles of this place. It totally is in the middle of nowhere, and you can not get better then 87 octane in town. There are no facilities, to plan your shitting accordingly. Aside from that, the place is really fun and the people are cool.
Boxshop is a really fun track. Definitely tight and technical, but what's the fun if it's not challenging, right? And the dirt section is awesome! Its not huge but it actually takes a little thought, not just big tables. Come support the track because the owner is adding pavement every year.
Definitely bring everything you need. I'll be camping there all weekend. Its a really relaxed atmosphere up there.
I won't be camping, I live all of 30 minutes away, but I'll be there Sat and Sun.
I'll second, friendly crew and relaxed atmosphere. It really is what pitbiking should be all about, a bunch of friends horsing around in someone's back yard. Only in this case that friend has laid down an awesome course with pavement and dirt sections...![]()
well the 450 is done and should pass tech![]()
at work right now catching some sleep in my truck in the am then heading up

So wishing I had suitable tires for the WReck... oh well, the 70 will be good to go.
I bet you have more fun than I do. My 13t front sprocket is cooked so ill be running 14/42....![]()

Heh... betting you'll have more fun.
1st practice today, not really pushing yet just working on getting back into the flow. Approaching the right hand 90 down into the new pavement, roll on front brake and grab a downshift at which point I start hearing all sorts of expensive sounds. Immediate clutch grab and get off track. Turns out I did my poor 70 in but good. Intake valve stuck in the head and became quite intimate with the exhaust valve and piston. Had that been all my quick head swap to a stock unit in my garage this afternoon would have had me back for Sunday.
When I went to locate TDC for timing I noticed the flywheel had a LOT of play... I broke the crank AND the cases. At least when I do it I do it right.
So much for mini racing this year.
That's too bad man. Yea I made a gear change yesterday and had a blast at practice is too bad I couldn't stick around and race.
