    Talking My SV650!!!



    Hello all,

    Got my first bike 08 SV650 today. Brought it home late in the night and might have pissed off a bunch of people as I myself haven't been on a bike for a while and was riding it reeeeal slow. I was wondering if you all have any tips for me. Thanks.

    Congrats!

    May want to invest in either an MSF refresher course, or a TD. This all depends on what you mean by "a while."

    MSF is the way to go. Learn how to handle the bike properly plus it'll save you on your insurance. Win win.

    MSF ERC. It's the MSF advanced exercises on your own bike. I recommend it.

    Def taking the MSF ERC. Just waiting for a while before I go for it. Do you guys have any suggestions for gear?

    I'm thinking.. an alpinestars t-gp plus jacket .. any suggestions on the gloves and helmet?

    Why wait? As for gear, any name brand stuff that actually fits will be fine. Main thing is fit though.

    Anything that actually FITS RIGHT. Go wherever you can and try stuff on and see what's in your budget.

    Shark makes a really nice helmet. Sportbiketrackgear.com has some discontinued models, that used to retail at $500 for $250.
