    For keepin up and gettin some nice footage

    All three tapes are being encoded as we speak. I will try to get them as high quality as I can. Perhaps a NESR Deal's Gap 2004 DVD will be in order......

    Crappy quality, DVD will be MUCH better.....

    Thanks for the offer Degs, but I'm just tryin for now to get all the video onto my enormous hard drive in as high quality as I can. Doesn't seem to look decent no matter what bitrate I set it too....More experimentation coming tonight.....

    I just got Bruce's external hard drive with all the video on it. The clarity looks a lot better than that. Pm me if you want to take a look.

    Yeah, just downgraded the quality on this particular video for downloading purposes. I am copying them over at the highest quality I can. I got your video all set too, looks real decent!

    When I encode, I get a LOT less chop/shudder/freezeups during the video stream. Should come out really decent in the end.

    Here's a question for all you video guys:

    What do you recommend for video capture programs? I'm using Pinnacle with USB 2.0 but I can't seem to get the video quality up high enough for my liking. I can only get it up to about 768x480 or something similar. Still looks grainy on a full screen 19" .25 dot pitch monitor.....

    I don't care about space, i got it to use. I want the HIGHEST video quality I can get, since I can always DiVX it down once i'm finished or throw it on a DVD or video CD.

    I seriously haven't ridden much since we came back. I find it boring and monotonous. I need to move down to that area and open a strip club or something. Maybe what I need is a track day or two???

    Anyways, Clayton my girlfriend has filmed, market, edited, produced, a stunt video. She would like to get all the footage we have and she will edit it and format it and make a dvd for us. She would love to do it. As soon as Jamie has all the footage we're gonna hook that sheeaat up.

    Nice riding Clayton and nice hand drag. BTW I was only holding back because I wanted to get you on film. Next time there will be a pass on the inside in one of those sweepers on film!!! Just kidding. Your nuts on the Kawi I was hammering the bag out of that Hawk to hang with you. Afterall I'm only about 40 hp short of the ZRX.

    I cannot wait for the gap!!!!!!

    Still need to know if I can encode any higher. I don't think so, as the last clip I made was nearly 700MB and it was only 4 minutes long. Maybe I'm just spoiled by DVD's uber-resolution! Perhaps I've reached the limit of the camera.

    Once I get it all spooled into the hard drive i'll share that shit up on my FTP and let y'all have at it. Then Jen can make a video if'n she's so inclined. I may take a stab at it also, though I bet it'll suck compared to hers.

    Nope, don't need any of it. It was a bit choppy from what I got downloaded, so I'm gunna re-do all of it. I borrowed the camera from Bruce and and in the process of copying it all to my hard drive.

    So did someone say they want to go back to the gap???

    Can I assume everyone here wants to go again next year?

    I am putting a list together and youz guys obviouslly have first dibs.. I am going to send Ron & Nancy an E-Mail tomorrow, but want to confirm with you guys first.

    I already asked for week two of May which is Saturday May 7th to Saturday the 14th. If we want to stay another day I would have to ask now, or we can find a cheapo hotel for the last night and depart Sunday Morning, or do what we were forced in doing is ride 1/2 or 3/4 of the day Saturday done 28 for lunch at the sports page, and back 28 all the way and hang at the Gap for the rest of the time, till it's time to return home...

    I want to confirm now and get definates to reservve the second house as well. I am asking to have the upper house with the big garage for us regulars and the new attendies can have the Tree tops. Sound good??? I know of a lot of people that want in, whether they can commit to going for May 05 now It always seems everyone wants to go, but when the time comes the bail?? If they only knew what they were missing!!!! Wait till they see these videos on DVD!!!!!!

    I am in and as KB said, I can give my deposit now. I would ask Ron to let us have the house till Sunday AM (since he owes us a free day). I too would like to stay at the upper house!

    As for flying down, we can work on this. I know that someone has offered to trailer some bikes down in an enclosed 7 bike carrier, plus I heard someone else might have the same setup that might be joining too.
