you can find a similar quote in any article about any liter bike.
as far as a replacement goes the fore-mentioned hypermotard is amazing to say the least. whenever that bike is brought up in conversations this image comes to mind instantly.http://motovation.files.wordpress.co...ruben-xaus.jpg
you can see the smile threw his helmet.
I have a hypermotard. Lets work something out ?
keep it and pick up something along the lines of an SV650 FZ6 for the "daily" riding stuff. i'm positive rob would bike swap with you for a day at some point this summer.
Throttle goes both ways. If you want to sell it, sell it because you want a different bike... not because the one you have has too much power.
I have the same trouble with the TLS.. The only time it's fun ta ride is when i'm flying. I cruised rt148 @ the SL had a great time, on the TL 3S or sucks.
:whistle:Better than your 998
Few things come to mind
1. Keep the 998
2. Never, ever under any circumstances get on a gixxer 1k.
3. If you want to unload the 998, I really don't think a hyper tard is what you want. I was however going to be a complete smart ass and mention the hyper tard.
Keep the 998 man. That's a sweeeeeeeeeeet friggin ride.
It sounds like it's the bikes narrow focus that has you bugged more than displacement. I wouldn't say you needed something smaller, maybe just something a little more rounded.
FZ 1, Touno, Beemer etc. ??
Well honestly I think I have just come to realize that I can't see how anyone needs this much bike and a 600 would be more than enough.
Now that said it is a 998 :naughty: a bike I never thought I would own and always lusted after.
I am not saying I can't handle it and I know the throttle works both ways... I doubt that a GSXR 1000 would offer much of a problem either. What I don't want is to make a stupid mistake a wreck such a beautiful bike. (Hence why I have full insurance and bought race plastics.)
Thanks for the advice guys. I will keep it.
Good to hear, Doc, I was about to vote for keeping it as well.
That said, sell a couple of those other bikes in your garage and pick up a used XR650L and motard it. You'll love it.
Alternatively, build yourself a running, streetable Hawk.
