The 08 was a crazy trade I offered the dealer, even trade my R7 for a new 08 R1 in red....so that's not going to happen.
I need a couple days to think about it a little more (i usually don't think much about these things) but unless I come across a smokin deal on a 04-07 R1, the choices rite now are a used 06 R6 50th or a new 07 R6 Candy red

Nope, my last R1 was the shift red 04. You're probably thinking of the 06 R6 50th I had last year, I sold that to Windmill cycles last fall.
I haven't bought anything yet, but I am going to look at that R1 as soon as I hear back from the guy

I'm a bad bad person It's official, I'm a proud owner of a 2006 Yamaha R1 anniversary It was to mint to pass up and the number$ worked. It could use one of my 3-4 hour wash, clean and wax jobs...but I'll save that for when the snow flies. It's pretty much stock except for frame sliders and a Lo-Jack system

All of you saying you won't ride X brand, what brand and why not?

Personally I like the best equipment for job, regardless who's name is on it. Given a good bike, I can't think of any name/logo on it that would cause me not to ride it.

(Obviously I can think of lots of specific bikes I wouldn't ride, although probably from every manufacturer, so don't go there. )
