My daughter has joined the 2 wheeled party.
She had the fever for quite some time and pulled the trigger last week.
Riding with me, seeing pics from the many epic Neglected rides, and a few visits to NHMS (thanks Trajiks9!)...was all simply too much fun to pass up.
Huge thanks to my buddy (and fellow NESRian) Andrew “lak-o-wits” at National Powersports for finding the perfect bike. Thanks also to Billy in sales and special shout out to the detailing team. These guys and gals truly kick ass with their work.
Let the good times roll!

I feel your pain (okay, pride). My kids all grew up around motorcycles, ATV's, snowmobiles, etc. As such, daughter #2 (Tovah) just recently let it be known to me that she intends to pursue her m/c license (this while working on double degrees and serving in the Army National Guard). She thought she could just hop on my Street Glide and I could teach her from there.
Thankfully I have a friend that teaches the course in Concord and I'll send her to her for that!
Congrats, man. Nerve racking and pride can be finicky to sort out.![]()
Did you grit your teeth and try to look like Clint Fuckin' Eastwood?
Or did you lisp it all hangfisted like a fuckin' flower?
I like those little v-stars. One of the few 250-class bikes that is not a thumper. We have considered a v-star/Virago 250 for my wife if/when she ever starts riding.
Well said Stoner. Definitely a mix of pride and nervousness!
A memorial ride was held this summer for a buddy of mine who died of brain cancer in February (we probably went by your house!) It was a good size group...about 50 bikes, which were almost all Harleys.
My daughter came along with me and had a blast. It really served as a reminder to enjoy life to the fullest!

She truly is loving it Stoner. She took the safety class last summer and did great. I simply had a blast on the damn thing when I'd ride it to the NHTI parking lot before she got her learner permit.
Her boyfriend rides as well...both bikes and sleds![]()
Hopefully fellow nesrian Not Sure gives us first dibs on his Duke 390 when she's ready to upgrade.![]()
