Well , if all goes well , like its suppose to I'm riding the SV home today . .. got any tips for riding it home ? I know the basics already , no wheelies , no gasing the thing down the highway and no leaning too hard. Most likely my dad is going to want to ride it home for me because hes never been on a sport type of bike before , so if he does , hes probably not gonna give the bike back to me![]()
here's some tips:
- start off with burning the rubers.
- wheelie all the way home
- stoppie at every traffic lights
- punch it when u see a cop
on second thought, dont listen to me! just take it easy and have fun. congratulations on your new bike. carry a baseball bat might help if come to situations with a cager.![]()
"fuckit!"
Keep your eyes and head moving and focusing.
Be deliberate with all your actions.
Relax.
Get away from the city roads and enjoy your new bike!!!!
Nice bike, congrats!

Make sure you're buying from someone who is legit... and that the title is taken care of properly.
There is a checklist on the web of things to look for in a used bike,
Maybe you'll want to print it and take it with you to do a final inspection before you buy it.
Used Motorcycle Evaluation guide
If you've been riding a V-twin cruiser it will feel somewhat familiar to you. Same low-end torque but much easier steering, more comfy body position, and it doesn't wheeze if you rev it. Maybe a little more twitchy on the throttle at low speed which will require some extra care.

savage is a single, ben...

The only "intuitive" interface is the nipple.
thanks for the tips peepz,
Can't wait , 2 more hours and my mom is home and can drive me to Boston
good luck, and congrats, dude.
the only real tips you need are to take it easy, take your time, and get used to the bike.

It would suck even more to see it happen again.
I guess I should add don't stomp the rear brake like everyone else who has an SV, some of us have been lucky enough not to crash after doing that, others haven't!
Ben
right.. sucks being me.

yeppers how you know ?
shes keepin the tank bag , and everything i'm only getting the lock , thats the deal we worked out , really sucked tho , i wanted the bike cover , shes selling the tank bag separate tho , offer her 25 bucks and she'll give it to you
Wunna the best tips I could ever offer someone is EVERYONE IN A CAGE IS OUT TO DELIBERATELY HARM YOU. Keep reminding yourself of that. You'll be amazed at how long it'll keep you safe...
Did you grit your teeth and try to look like Clint Fuckin' Eastwood?
Or did you lisp it all hangfisted like a fuckin' flower?
Don't get overzealous about having a new bike and use every excuse you can to get it out (no matter the conditions). Stay away from traffic and bad weather, it's not worth it and if you f your bike up you'll be pissed at yourself.
Get up extra early on the weekend and go enjoy some empty roads, that's the best way to enjoy it.
PS - are you buying this bike from a woman in Jamaica Plain?
See you on the road scag!
i never used to swear...
then i came here, and got kicked in the balls.
now i have to throw a "fuck" into every other post or so, just so frank doesn't hurt me again.
he's serious, dude!

Jesus, you fucking cunts could take it easy on the new motherfucker, assholes!![]()
