Im looking into gettin a new set of tires, what should I get? Right now I have the Dunlop 208s......But Im lookin at maybe getting some Pirelli diablo corsas but I thinks thats a little over kill for me seein how its a race replica tire for ultra preformace......I don't know.....I just want tires that will last a good while and will hold up nicely. My bike is my only transportation so the tires will get a lot of use. Any help would be great. Thanks.

Karloff? Sidekick? FUCK YOU!! That cocksucker does not deserve to smell my shit!
In the past, i've gotten the most miles out of Dunlops, i always liked the 208's and even like the 218's that came on my R1. I got 7k on my R1, still on the stock tires tho they need replacing in the spring. They're mostly commute miles also so there is a bit of a flatspot![]()

I have Diablo Corsa's...I think they're great...I wouldn't say you'd get many miles out of them, but they're nice and sticky!![]()

I too am pondering witch tire.. It is down to the Diablo Corsa's or Pilot Powers..
If your not really riding hard, and ussing it for a lot of commuting you may want to think of the dual compound Bridgestone BT010's I think they are?? or the BT020 ??? something along that line? You will get a lot of mileage on them and still have a great responce when taking in some twisties! Probably cheaper also!

only tires i've ridden on are 207's and Metz M1's.... i'll throw in a vote for the M1's. i've done two track days on em & about 5k miles... i'm sure they'll last me another track day or two & another 3-5k, but we'll see... in my opinion and from what i've read, they're a great "bang for the buck" & all around SS tire.
If you're just gonna use them for transportation i wouldn't get the Powers... they're awfully pricey, aren't they?![]()

can someone explain/expand upon the Powers'.....why so much press? never heard of em...
Bras cause cancer.
Now is the time to purchase tires! The prices ussually drop over the winter months. They have already dropped. I was checking prices on-line and might be placing my order with in the next week.
the best prices I ussually find is on
www.mawonline.com
But it vary's between what brand your looking for and shipping costs.
Other places I look:
www.parts411.com
www.chaparral-racing.com/
I have found a few other tire online sites, but the prices are way more than what I always find between these three...
Any body ever try these Cheng Shin, or Maxxis tires? I thought I heard of Cheng Shin is a really good tire from Japan???
