Track day question

Am I really going to need to bring an extra tank of gas with me?

How many laps do you usually get to do?

I wouldn't think I'd get in even 100 miles, so I'd be fine if I filled up on my way to the track.

Since I don't have a trailer, etc.. carrying a gas tank on the back of my bike, even empty, just seems like a great way to get pulled over by the police.

The gas they sell there is race gas (105 octane). It's $5.00 a gallon, and it may do your average street bike engine more harm than good. But as JC said, there's two gas stations about a 1/2 mile down the road...

You'll most likely do more than 100 miles...

Do they let you leave the track at lunch or something to go get gas?

Or are you in for the day once you go through inspection?

You can leave any time you like. It's a very relaxed atmosphere.

You come & go as you please. They (the workers at the front gate) will stamp your hand for the event. They don't use wrist bands for track days...
