Went for my very first ride today on the 250. Went about 35-40 miles. Good times indeed. Fastest I went was 60, definately a new feeling.
sweet, sounds like a good first ride. stay safe, lots of sand down the cape

Congratulations. Riding will become very addictive in no time at all. No intervention needed for that type though.![]()

Yeah, definately good times to be had. I just sort of dove right it. A few intersections to start off with, a nice twisty road, then a few 45-50mph roads, a few more twistied, and finished up with some nice in town traffic. I would have gone more, but I had a ton of shit to do after work. Tomorrow is another day though.
The bike runs nice. I still have to completely run through it since I have no history on it. I'm used to working on cars, so it will be interesting working on something I can pick up.
I still need to pick up some pants and boots though. I like the idea of gear since I know what it's like to slide across a parking lot on the knees, but I ran out of money this week.
Signed up for the MSF course, but have to wait till the 2nd
lol, Fucking quote of the day!

the fact that she's going to bed and not into a coma is a good sign, no?
i've seen some pretty spectacular failures where the rider hops back up and dusts themself off before a background of twisted metal and beautiful immolation.
hopefully her tale is a little less epic, but you get the idea...
hurray, strikethrough!

I'm putting my money on a drop at a stop sign or traffic light....whatever happened was minor.
I will finally do something today too-------> Leave work in 3.....2.......![]()
Perhaps she just ran over a series of puppies or something, that would be another first to be upset about
I've dropped a bike backing it out of a driveway once, but other than that I've never really dropped the bike, not while standing still. Apparently girls do it a lot![]()

Uh oh..............
congrats thunderbiscuit! Must be fun to be out on the open road...stay safe
Meg- sorry to hear, I hope it is very minor
My buddies at work had a bad week starting with Tuesday:
buddy 1- wrecks trying to pass a garbage truck on the right as he starts turning right (bad luck/newb)
buddy 2- Someone backs into and mows down his basically brand new daytona 675
Wednesday:
buddy 2 again- Someone slams into the back of his s4 (car) and does approximately 4-7K worth of damage (while it was parked as well).
Hey Thunder where on the Cape are you from?
