What the heck motivates these guys...

Why aren't they doing it on dirtbikes? Is there any chance they are going to get rich out of this? It seems like too big of a risk for not a large enough reward...

I am curious if someone like Travis Pastrana and those guys in the X-games make enough money to justify how badly they injure themselves... and they are obviously getting a huge amount of sponsorship & reward money compared to the sportbike stunt guys.

all those dudes are fuckin loooooaaded... obviously you have to be crazy & willing to pay the price, but who cares if you have fun doin it.... i know if i had that pain tolerance & was crazy enough, that'd be a kickass lifestyle... playin all fuckin day & beatin the shit outta your friends. good times

I'm not sure I see who is loaded?

I am thinking Pastrana and a few of the other X-Games guys are doing pretty good but nothing like a baseball player, basketball player, etc.. ? And most of the other X-games guys are not doing nearly as well.

And I am having a REAL hard time believing any of the sportbike stunt guys are loaded... Stunting may be selling videos but the stunt videos are not exactly on the best seller lists. Are there any huge prize tournaments for sportbike stunts? None of the motorcycle companies have stepped up to sponsor the sportbike stunt riders either... they're not getting it there.

Definitely seems like a love/stupidity thing... there are better ways to make money.
