In a week or so can I borrow a chain tool?

Well, I just ordered a pitbull rear stand, 520 chain conversion with an anodized aluminum rear, 15/41

My chain is toast. I think someone one here said I could borrow a chain tool, but I cant remember who...

    Ordered new gloves too

Thanks for convincing me not to go cheap on the stand Union

I guess Ill buy a 32mm socket since Ill need it for tightening the chain, I wonder what the front one is.... (rc51)

My time is usually tight, but I wouldn't mind if you came by and used my breaker/riveter at my garage (if I'm not riding or at my 9-5 job, I'm in the garage anyways). I'm about 20-25 mins NW of Worcester. Nights or weekends.

I have all the tools you would need for that job too (sockets like u mentioned). But if you're like me, you'll buy a tool even if you'll only use it once a year.

Id appreciate it, I was gonna buy a chain tool, but on top of a chain, sprockets, and a stand, that extra hundered would be tough!

I remember someone near where I work offered I thought, but I searched all my posts and couldnt find it.

It would probably be easier to do it there, rather than get it and bring it back later, chain and sprockets looks like it would be a pretty easy job. Ill let you know when my stuff comes in!

Cant wait to feel the 1 down 1 up gearing too!

edit: I didnt realize more than 1 person replied... Was one of you the guy who previously offered? BAh, it doesnt matter. I appreciate the help, and Ill repost when the equipment comes in. And you are gonna laugh at my current chain, its old and wasnt maintained, I just got the bike used.

    Thanks everyone for the offers!

I ordered the 520 kit from sprocket something... specialists I think. Anyway, I ordered it the day before the 4th of july (tuesday) and had it friday!

Luv Dog only lives 12 miles from me so I rode up last night and we got it swapped over in about 1 hr 15 min! it went pretty smooth and rides great!

1 up/ 1down REALLY lightened up the front end thats for sure.

Old chain that came off was toast, I feel a lot better now that it is in the trash.

I'm glad I could help... I'm sure we could have gotten it done more quickly, but I was triple checking some things since it wasn't my bike... plus the BS-ing.

I hope you stayed dry on the way home.
