was it Buddha? what happen to the guy? couldn't find the name on here.
i dont feel like re-reading it, but are they coming onto the highway without signaling?
That's actually three words.
But if someone is entering the highway and travelling in a lane that ends in 300 feet, do they really need to signal that they are going to move into the next lane? I think we are back to common sense here. If you really like to run people off the road, just admit it. There are plenty of people that like to "police" the highways and punish those no good lane-changers/speeders/ tailgaters/ugly-car drivers. Don't hide behind the lack of turn signals excuse.
my favorite is when someone speeds up to block...
or just ugly car? try to get on 495N at exit 34 with underpower car. i have hardtime everytime with the civic espacially when 18wheelers are close on right lane by the time you see it then it's like "oh shit im fuck" everytime. it's really short runway. not a problem with bike unless a slow poke is in front.
Kham, your asian. Why whould you have a slow Civic? Can I not believe all stereotypes anymore?
Whaaaaaa?????
Next you're gonna tell me not every German is a commy, not everg Mick is a drunk, and not every blonde puts out.
What is this world coming to if I can't believe every stereo type. :dunno:
you need good sampling of population and something about a person to have good shot at stereo type statistically speaking.
6 pages and he's probably the most "ignore listed" NESR member? Should I scroll back through pages 1-5 or is it just post whoring?
WTF are you talking about? there is usually a reason why one side can pass and the other cant. if you look around and use your intelligence (which you seem to have) you could figure it out.
you should stop at the end of an on ramp if you cant safely get on. you automatically assume everyone can/should just move over and let you on but the SUV traveling 20mph faster than me in the next lane coming up on me is gonna be pretty pissed if i cut him off to give you room because you feel inconvenienced by the law. in some cities (LA, PHX) during rush hour there is a red/green light at the end of each on ramp. you stop, light turns green, then you get onto the highway...and you arent doing 70(unless you are on a bike) so stopping on an on ramp isnt all that ridiculous. just because you dont like the law or the way it is implemented doesnt make it wrong.
why would you need to signal entering the highway? do you think they are going to turn right? they have no where else to go. thats like signalling while you are in the turn only lane.
this doesnt change my opinion, but i think its funny that "no signal" is the reason you dont let them in:D
there are 2 sign to signify "no passing" and a rectangular white with black letters reading "DO NOT PASS" sign and trianglej yellow with black letter readin "No Passing Zone" DO NOT PASS means YOU don't pass but the traffic going the other way may... No Passing Zone means NO ONE is passing. You will see that No Passing Zone signs in places that alloow passing on one side or the other. That sign is mis-used...it happens
I have been paying attention to the placement of yeild signs and guess what...i havent seen any in my travels the past couple days and I'd bet the only time there is one is when there is no breakdown lane....as i stated previously..this is the only acceptable reason to stop on an in ramp...
I think there is a lot of confusion between "yielding"...and the "yield sign". It is NOT the same thing...
You should yield to on coming traffic...you DO NOT come to a stop in an on ramp unless there isnt a breakdown lane....
in mass and ri there are virtually no yeild or stop signs...why you people are stopping or expecting people to stop is beyond me...no wonder we have the worst driving records int eh country...
the right lane is for slow traffic and entering and exiting the road way......you, being in a truck has more responsibilty to place and let people on the highway..if you have to inconvenience yourself by slowing down to let someone one, thats exactly what you should do....
im just saying whoever try to get on the highway with short ramp and underpower car is going to have a hard time. then when you have some help to get on with little rocket boost like the bike, you get a book thrown at you or worse get run off the road. just kidding Kirt. :poke:
New Hampshire
Section 265:30 Vehicle Entering Stop or Yield Intersection or Highway.
III. The driver of a vehicle using an entrance ramp onto a highway shall yield to the vehicles on the highway, regardless of whether there is a yield sign on the entrance ramp.

Entering and Exiting the Highway
• Make sure you are in the proper lane well in advance so you can safely enter or exit the
highway.
• Yield the right-of-way to drivers already on the highway.
ok maybe it is the same thing :D
I don't think I ever want to ride/drive anywhere near any of you dangerous fucks.
i think you have that backwards, the yellow/black (Y/B) sign is just indicating the end of a passing zone so you can plan accordingly. if i see a dotted line and i want to pass but i see that Y/B sign 100 yards up the road im pretty sure that im not gonna make it before the sign..but if it 1/2 a mile down the road then i know i have a safe amount of time to pull it off (traffic permitting) without breaking the speed limit too much. the B/W signs mean just what they say..DO NOT PASS.....anywhere on this road. i usually see them on roads that dont have yellow lines down the middle. unless you are in VT and you can pass whenever you want unless you see that sign. even on double yellows.
how could i miss this? i just realized Big Red is from RI.....they have the lowest drivers test scores in the country. :poke::D
