Shipping a tire...

Anybody have an idea of how much it costs to ship a tire? I just sold a rear tire from the Frankenbike on e-bay, and I have no idea how much to charge the winner in shipping, I was thinking $15 - is that enough?

I would guess so. I got mx tires shipped to me for about $6.00 per tire from Utah. I wouldn't assume the average consumer would pay more then double for the same.

legalspeed shipped me two tires (take offs) and I think it cost him 30 bucks.

2 tires to california is $23.00 via UPS.

I ship a lot of tires, and this is normal. Tires are shipped by dimensional weight ( 30 lb minimum) due to their size.

I charged the guy $15, so maybe I'll make a couple bucks....after all, the tire only did $27.
