anyone know the best place to get inspection sticker in areas south of Boston...... (Canton, Stoughton, Randolph, Easton, Brockton areas ???)
used to go to Brockton Cycle and Bettencourts, but they don't give inspections to sportbikes with eurotails anymore (stock fenders only)
...last time I went to Boston, most shops there aren't fussy
(guess because its a big city)
..trying to stay more local
thanks

Stock fenders only? Is it the lack of fender or the aftermarket signals they have an issue with?
Im willing to bet the the aftermarket signals. When I first got my RC51 I went to Moms in Foxboro and they hassled me a bit about it. Used all of the excuses in the book. Not bright enough, not far enough apart, too close to the tail and so on. Best bet might be to try a smaller shop that is out of the way. The one I used to go to is gone but I know there is one in Mansfield. Never been so I dont know how they are.
as long as it meets state requirements then they cant fail you, im sure you can find some loop holes

You also need reflectors in the back, plate light and 9 inch seperated blinkers.
Meet the requirements and they must inspect you.
im crossing my fingers this year, plympton cycle has always been good to me though

Never had a bike with reflectors still in place. Never failed an inspection either.
goto an independent shop that works mostly on Harleys. Providing you're not a dick, most wont be a problem
currently just an oldman bike, but searching for my new ride
.Sold to a guy in Mississippisearching for a new ride.
yes.... as mentioned by Duncan
... they prefer/require stock fender, reflector, license plate bulb, and signals certain distance apart
...guess I'll keep searching (at least up until deadline May 31st)

The inspection guy at Weymouth Honda off Rte 3 didn't have a problem with my fender eliminator, although he did reject me for a cracked valve stem. I'm running with plate lights, small aftermarket rear signals more than 9 inches apart, and a small fender right over the tire rather than the full factory fender.

There's a inspection station up the street from Plympton cycles on the left.Used to be a custom exhaust shop...guy builds Hot Rods and Harleys there...I got my bikes inspected there last year-No mirrors and a brake light that wasn't working so hot.He said "If you wanna ride it like that...I'm not gonna stop ya"...I fixed the bike but I'm going back..He's a good dude as long as you don't mind the "rice burner" comments..
The more people I meet, the more I like my dogs.....
I've heard about this reflector issue from a couple places. Would yellow reflective tape fly?
and I'm guessing you don't have the stock parts anymore?
bump.
going for mine soon. got a plate light and my turn signals are in my passenger pegs as well as an integrated tail.
unfortunately my brother in law only has an integrated tail...
anyone get theirs recently with a similar setup?
