In full tilt race trim, that is. Not quite as nuts in street trim. Never the less, I came.

And yes, I know this bike is like 2 years old. I came again.

Ohh the stupid things I could do with one of those...

    ETA:
Anyone know if it mixes the oil and gas internally, or if you have to fill the tank with pre-mixed? I would think that for $22,000 they could add that little luxury, so all you have to do is keep oil in the oil tank, and you can put in gas anywhere.

The 500 GP bikes were 380 lbs? I figured they'd be a little lighter than that.

I bet the above bike is a screamer though. I'd probably go the cheaper route and look for an older RGV or NSR 250 myself...but to think for the price of my future 1198S I could hop on a 2 stroke

And I have to imagine this thing would be oil injected, it would probably suck a bit trying to get the right mix by guestimating at the pump. Too much oil and it'll run like ass, to little oil and she'll scream like hell, right up to the point of molten aluminum in the crank case...although exhaust gas temp gauge / probes in the pipes could prevent any expensive meltdowns, especially if you start tuning the thing yourself and messing with jetting, etc. Cheap insurance.

Oh so you made a typo, you meant 230 not 130

Gotta admit though, those old 500 gp bikes made one helluva sound. Yamaha use to build a v-mas snowmobile with an I-4 2 stroke under the cowl...sick sounding sled as well. I'd buy one just for the sound it makes...and I wonder why I have a constant ringing in my ears

Naw. 250 + 130 = 380 which is (supposedly) what a modern literbikes supposedly comes in at (if they're lucky)

I would still rather premix and not rely on an oil pump to make sure I was getting the correct ration of oil:gas My two stroke on the street, I run premix

maybe without all the fluids and no wheels and tires it might weigh that little. http://www.sportrider.com/weights_me...ts/suzuki.html

the lightest current 600 is the CBR600RR and it weighs 384 according to Sportrider. the 1000s are above 400lbs, the CBR1k being the lightest at 412.

    Re: 130HP, 65ft lbs, 250lbs

That is massively detuned. They were getting over a hundred HP out of the 250GP motors. I suppose to make it streetable they would have to tune for more torque down low.

500cc parallel twin must buzz like a sawzall!

    Does look trick.

It does have oil injection..... weights 298LB with 1/2 a tank of fuel and all fluids in full street trim.

Ill be at lowell bike night in the spring or a big shel ride if he even registers his bike next year

Yes, its real light....after riding it a bit...stopped, went to move my rvf400 and I could barley get it off the side stand LOL... what a pig...
Does not buzz much at all.... even my 535 bigger engine is not to bad...

That's yours Dynotune? (the one in the second link)? I remember following your last build, but forget what the details were. The Aprilia looks sick. Is it an RS250 chasis?
