Fuck...never thought of using the blower on my shopvac. Then again, if it's THAT hard to get to, it's not worth the effort. :spit:

Back to National Powersports. Apparently they didn't bother to CHECK the battery. I'm guessing they just put an occasional trickle charge on the showroom bikes in some routine way. Not enough juice to turn the starter this morning. Tossed the charger on it and it indicated it was very low.
Another check mark in the negative column.

maybe it has a small draw?

Okay, may have to scratch that. Seems I may have inadvertently "locked" myself out via the ultra confusing (to me) security system. If anyone knows how to disarm a 2004 Dyna Low Rider security, I'm all ears.
...yeah, I've been looking through the online owner's manual...
EDIT: Seems easy enough with the fob. I'll give 'er a go tonight.

They suck to clean for sure. I don't think there is a better looking bike out there once its all cleaned up.

Big Shirl wants to help me buy an early birthday present this year.
Those that are in the know, shhhh...

I felt like an idiot when she pointed out that all of the jackets they sell are set up to accept armor. She then showed me the armor packs. It was quality stuff. Sure looked like the latest rage D3 stuff. Had a "CE rated" sticker on it. Definitely wasn't the horseshit I expected. And wasn't even priced that absurdly.
I thanked her and decided I'd stop being a smug smart-ass for at least a minute or two.
Yeah...when we were at one of the dealerships we've been kicking tires at, they gave us the tour. Kind of comical, really.
And you're right: the gear wasn't really all that far off, price-wise. Although she sounded like my grandmother getting ready to take me to synagogue when she asked us both if we would like help "picking out an outfit". :spit:

Well, that sucks. That does not match the hype I've heard re National in the past. My take has always been that they charge you a premium but you can bet your ass it is going to be about as good as new as a bike that age/mileage can be.
Hope the experience picks up from here.

No, they don't "charge you a premium". Their prices were actually right about where they should be and a lot cheaper than private party deals I've looked into.
Seems they've really jacked the prices up over there right about now. I've been keeping an eye out over there to see if they end back up with my Low Rider. Holy fuck are their prices high right now! I'm seeing virtually my same bike & year for thousands more than they were asking just a couple months ago when I was kicking tires. Shit, my bike but a year or two older is still advertised higher than what I paid. Dayumn!
Re: Ya'll Ain't Never Gonna Believe It
Holy FAHK have they jacked their prices. They're asking about $1000 MORE for similar bikes that are 3-4 years older than mine, some with less miles some with more. Wow, man. Sad that dealers are underscoring the used warehouse type places.

LOL! Wrong lever?
Re: Ya'll Ain't Never Gonna Believe It
Hmm. If the used market is that strong. Maybe I should sell.
Re: Ya'll Ain't Never Gonna Believe It
Just checked out National Powersports site for shits & giggles. Holy fuck, they're outta their minds now! Some of their prices are outrageous!

Yup. I've got a couple ATV's that are just about ready for the chopping block. Looking to retire off the money I make off 'em!
