They pop up periodically. Priced pretty uniformly by condition and year from $1,500 up.
A group ride would be a riot.

I've been eyeing up groms for a while but havent pulled the trigger. I think i'd have more fun bombing through the woods with one of these.

Re: The Yamaha TW200 - should I?
Old battery was flat so I got a Deltran LiFeP04 to try. It's tiny.

Re: The Yamaha TW200 - should I?
I made a tray rather than a whole case so I could check fit and see how it works: I can make it taller once I get the details right.

Re: The Yamaha TW200 - should I?
beautiful printed part. i'd love to get into a rapid prototyping business.
I went to school for industrial design and have always wanted to get back into the field but a good job at my current company has always stopped me.

I love mine and ride it daily.... they are way more fun than say a CRF50 only cause its a bit bigger and legal. But once you wake them up, its a blast from there on so much fun and cheap to mod and own. Hands down the funest and best bike I have
Re: The Yamaha TW200 - should I?
So after making the tray I made some adjustments to the dimensions and made a box. This will hold the LiFe battery in place and leave a little room for storage of "stuff."

Re: The Yamaha TW200 - should I?
Here it is. Battery box could be a half mm wider but everything else fit great.

2006 Yamaha TW 2
Asking $2,700. I paid $2,500 for a 2009 with 1,400 miles on it.
