Because they have FI, those Aprilias are highly "tunable" for better performance. There is no replacement for displacement.
This is true...unmolested they are also pretty rare...this one is molested...I’m pretty sure the sr50 isn’t on the limited use list so it could probably get away as being a moped...that’s the only reason I’d buy one...but like you said it would still be slower than a 125cc+...just curious how fast this one goes and how much was spent to add how many mphOriginally Posted by Garandman

they made the carb really easy to pull out and clean on this thing...well designed and hasn't changed much over the years so parts availability is good as well as aftermarket...little simple green hd + hot water + harbor freight ultrasonic...

added a folding milk crate over the weekend...installed it with some parts i had hanging around...i can bungee stuff to the it folded down or open it up and put things in it...have to bungee it down so it doesn't rattle while riding but i think it will work out pretty good...the rack capacity is only 11 lbs so it's not like i can carry too much anyway...
next addition, new led bulb...nice that they have a bulb that doesn't have a huge heat sink on the back and will fit properly in the housing...

edit: in previous years i've had issues with the scooter starting reliably...it has a vacuum petcock and i read that they fail from time to time so i'm replacing with a simple fuel shut off from ebay...i figure this way i will at least be able to kill the fuel and let it consume the remaining fuel in the line and carb...will be good for winter storage purposes
