It's supposed to rain Friday into the night and be mostly cloudy and dry on Saturday

I am meeting a couple guys at BK off 93 exit 4 at 9:00am. We will be taking back roads to NHIS, stopping in Deerfield at the Lion Cafe around 9:45 for breakfast. Then off to the track in plenty of time for the Rookie Race. If you want to join us be there at 9:00!

Still in for this, only I will go for the ride up, watch the rookie and then I have to head home cause I have another obligation.
But I am a dope. And don't know where you are talking about. What town/city/state?? :(

He is talking out our way, the warwick mall. if you want directions to there or my place let me know. May just be easier to grab you once we are through prov, say the rest area on 95

Will I ever get a free day to ride this year:mecry: Sorry for starting this but I have to back out, I've got a few things going on at the house this weekend and I guess I need to be there. I still do want to get up there at some point before the season ends.

Local fundraiser/party. It's 40.00 to get in, 1PM to Midnight, all the beer you can drink, all the food you can eat (swordfish, scallops, burgers...pretty much anything you can think of)..bands and tons of great people. Everything is donated. And free cab rides home if your impared.
It has been going on for as many years as I can remember and is attended by the locals, so its kinda like a reunion, you know everyone or went to school with them.
They select a local family each year to support, last year was a cop who died and left three little girls, "David's Girls", this year will benefit Carrie, a high school soccer star who was critically injured in a car accident over a year ago, she is still not up and about.

Thanks Jane.
That seems like a great time but I don't think I qualify for the free ride home :)
Have a great time.

Uh...if you take your car you will have to park outside the paddock. You can still buy a pass to the infield but you will have to walk. (No big deal) There will be between 11 and 22 people in the stands outside the paddock. (Not counting you!) So, most of the action takes place inside. Having said that, you could certainly have fun outside. Start at the stands at the end of the front straight. Its a real thrill watching the experts come howling down and diving into turn one. Then move all the way to the top, right hand side (as your sitting) of the stands for a view of most of the track. If you are ambitious you might be able to get on TOP of the Race Control/VIP section in the middle of the front straight. I have done that a couple of times...its not usually locked up. Finally, walk around to the 'bowl' and watch some races there!
If you do go inside grab lunch at the cafeteria. Pretty decent food and you'll see lots of racers. Get there early and walk around the pit garages. Lots of very cool bikes! The bleachers at turn 3/10 are a popular spot to watch from!
Have fun and if you see a guy with a yellow suit on a Multistrada thats me...say hi!

Matt, Alan, Rich, Craig and I met at BK. Everyone was early so we left around 8:50! Nice ride through Derry, Chester, Candia and to breakfast at the Lion Cafe in Deerfield. If you have never been there it is absolutly worth a stop. I had an awesome breakfast. Left there about 10:30 and took 107/129/Louden Ridge Road/6 to NHIS. Very pleasant ride...great riders all. Got to the track in plenty of time to see the Rookie race and 3 others. Beautiful weather...great racing...great riding...great day!
Thanks all for the good company and fine riding....
Dave
