The weather went from chance of showers to steady rain.
What with it being the first ride, still a bit of sand on the road, and bad weather, it just isn't worth the extra risk.

Bummer! I was keeping my eye on this thread, and the weather for that matter. I hesitated to sign up just yet because of having to likely drop out if the rain was so, and it is so..so sad. Looking forward to the next run!

I can't believe you guys bagged out. I was soooo in for this ride!

Races are both Saturday & Sunday kids...Come and see us Sunday!

Hey all - I really struggled with this one but when the weather went from showers to steady rain for most of the day, (and according to Chapter 7, page 192, paragraph 13.4, of the Ride Forum Rules Manual, it is acceptable to discuss the weather if an event has been called off for weather reasons which we could not talk about before it was called off), along with this being the first ride for many of us, the roads being potholed and frostheaved, and sand still widely prevelent on many of the roads, and after consulting with a couple key advisors, and also after considering that we want a big parade group to ride into the infield of NHMS so we can really show our appreciation, I decided to postpone this event to a later date to be announced at a later date.

(Thanks to James Joyce and William Faulkner for assistance with previous sentance.)

And stay tuned for a possible ride next Sunday...!

Yeah it sucks that tomorrows forecast is so crappy. I may take a ride up Sunday as it's supposed to be much nicer.

The next LRRS weekend is May 17. Maybe that can be the "Ride to the Races" (re-try)?

Just started a litle while ago... but it's pretty light. Well its off to Great Bay, food shopping then Bruins game.
MotoGP tomorrow so I'm probably going to miss LRRS's day 2.

I'll go up on May 17th.
