We had a small group there until they closed... The contest last night was one of the better ones they had. But other than that nothing really to speak about. I deff did get alot of good pics :-)

On a side note, I was impressed how a large group of bikes kept well behaved. Usually there's a few idiots that hit the rev limiter and wheelie everywhere.

Re: Bike Nite Hot Body/Wet Tshirt contest Tues Nites
So, back to topic. I spoke to a few people last night who would like to do a backroad type of meet. Preferably not too big a group and on a weekend morning. Though we all enjoy this meet, we tend to hang out more than ride. I'll eventually start a new thread, but since most RI riders seem to be in this thread, I thought I'd put a feeler out.
Thoughts?

Re: Bike Nite Hot Body/Wet Tshirt contest Tues Nites
I'd like to add that I'm not looking to replace this meet as I do like it and plan on attending it weekly. I'm simply looking to see if anyone would also like to do some back road riding.

Very nice!! On a different note, one of our fellow Tue Nite Riders (Lavelay) went down this past weekend. He rides a yellow and black R6. He is OK but went through 6 hrs of ER work. Not sure what happened yet but I'll fill in as I learn more.
Ride Safe

Was it at Roger willimans park? I was there with him. I didn't even know he was from NESR. He's ok. He's bike is going to need a bit of work.

I'm always suprised when guys ride through Roger williams park. I live right off the park and see guys haulin ass around a few of the corners. I'm not sure if he was riding past the speed limit or not, but I'd have to think he was since the speed limit is 15 mph. The park service put speed bumps in the park for a reason. Granted there are a few great turns, but come on people its a highly populated neighborhood with people walking dogs, and kids playing all over the place. Its not really a place to"ride". Pose yes, "ride" no. Go out to Scituate Res. where this is more room, and a higher speed limit.

True, but those "few great turns" are great to drag a knee through, nothing but long sweepers around the res.
:poke:

Actually he was going less than 10 miles per hour... and we werent around any of the nice turns... It happen near the Broad St entrance...
And guys/girls... I've seen or know about 6 Accidents so far this year and ALL have been at speeds of 15 or less... The only crash which the guy was speeding... He passed away. So no matter if you going 15 or 150... Highway or Park... Something could always happen.
