Ok, I'll be there
Bubs, can you make it? We can always speakerphone you in for the ultimate in nerdy communication.
Nerdy communication must include a Google Hangout.
Armatures...
It may have to be next week for me. I'm on dog duty tomorrow night.
That's why I can't this week; I have the mutts.
Bump!
If you have never been, you owe it to yourself to ride these roads.
If you have been, I don't need to explain why you want to go back.
Just to keep things in perspective, this is the road we HAVE to take just to go pick up some beer for consumption after a long day of riding while sitting in a hot tub:

The house we are renting is about 2 miles down from where that video ended, on that same road. Oh darn.
Just getting from Rt.28 over to Fontana Damn, which is where the Dragon starts. One of the less ridden roads just because it isn't twisty enough. Yeah, this road isn't twisty enough. HA

Want more?
No matter how twisty I say it is, I just can't do it justice until you see it and ride it.
Same guy, on the Dragon.

Tight enough?
Being a groomsman who got all his friends into riding sure has it's perks.
For doing my part, I was given a brand new Sena SMH10R.
Chris/Bubs, either of you have one of these? Or another Sena? Be weird being able to talk while riding....or listen to music...or GPS....or ask Siri a question....
No. I was introduced to those gadgets by a Scala user.. so that's what I bought. In retrospect it was not the best of choices.
But as the man says, it is paid for. No farkin' way am I dropping another hundred and a half on a replacement. Not 'til this one breaks.
Buncha damn whiners.
I have a couple 5`s that I could lend ( assuming that they are compatible). One is a boom, the other is a small mic for a full face.
I'll take you up on that offer Jason. -5's work with -10's, but only talk to one other rider and have much less range. No doubt worth a try.
When does this occur? (I scanned back but was too dumb to figure it out).
I'll add it to my list of stuff to bring next Monday if nothing else. (Next Monday, wow...)
9/21-28.
Bringing it to TTD on the 9th works. But I can meet you sometime later in the month if you prefer.
Yeah next Monday! :bananna:
Sweet.
Slaters this Thursday?
Can't.
Oh, that's right. Stator'ness. Sorry bubs.
Chris, shoot me a pm with your cell number at some point. We'll need to talk about rides if we are all hauling down in one truck soon.
If it were that I'd show in the car. Couldn't anyway. Got an appt Thursday PM.
Since it looks like it is just the 3 of us, I'll bring a gallon of my Hefewiezen and a couple small bottles of the Mud Stout.
MMMMMMMMMMMM
Since i'm bringing a cooler anyways, thoughts on dinners? Can bring some steaks, sausages (insert jokes here), chops, etc.
There is a full sized grocery store down there in the center of Robbinsville, but anything meat wise we can bring is a good idea. Tends to be a little low-brow on the meat selection down there.
As far as breakfast, I don't mind cooking (as with most meals). I have an ability to make a mean Egg McMuffin knockoff, just with better cheese.
Can also bring down a homemade loaf of bread, my specialty lately is a Honey Oatmeal Wheat.
We'll end up eating out at the Mexican place a few times, then the local BBQ joints a few times just due to lunch being away from the house and enjoying the cuisine down there. I'm thinking around 4 dinners at the house.
Ribeye Steak / roasted potatoes with rosemary, garlic, thyme / asparagus with cheese sauce or creamed spinach(or swiss chard, depending on what they have)
Brats simmered in ale, then grilled/ slaw / potato salad (or something similar)
Spaghetti and meaty balls or sausage / Salad / Garlic'd bread
Ideas for a 4th dinner?
Probably grab some lunch meats for sandwiches anytime and a pack of hot dogs/buns for more anytime.
Yeah, I think about food a lot.
Sounds like you're a better cook than I am. I sense some dish duty in my future.
If it fits in a bun or rolls in a tortilla, chances are I love it. :naughty
Less than two weeks! :D
You guys ready?
Chris, I'll be giving you a call one of these nights, I just keep forgetting until it is late.
We'll be finding out today if instead of using Chris' truck, we'll be using a nice new Tundra V8 loaner :D
