Checking out idiots on the gap tomorrow from curb side then possibly heading to bridal falls & lunch in the Highlands at the Sports Page. Easy day while the squids are still down here.

Hi Kristen.
Day one was one run up & back one the Dragon, then had to return to the house to get rescue 1 (my truck) to pick up our crashed (omg the N word!!!). (inside joke). Rider & bike are in good order..

Hopefully more, but good reports to follow.

Back at the house, Clayton is cookin up some mean Steaks! Today we logged in 250 wet miles down into south Carolina, over to Georgia, & back into North Carolina. Great lunch in Highlands, NC at the Sports Page which we are always stopping in there on our trips at least once. Great Sandwiches!

Route started on 143 from the house to 129N up to the Crossroads of time, Then 28 South all the way to the Highlands. After Lunch continued 28 South to 76E, 183E and looped back to 28 North back to rt 143 East back to the house.

Nice roads but the rain ruined the day, we were wet all day. Hoping the remainder of the week has better weather for us. I have a few pics I will get linked from Photobucket shortly.

Oh WPG has been thru some rough winters...be safe there! roads kinda beat up...or it was last time i was up there last year.

If your headen that far then do whole blood mountian. Highlands are great for sure. Sounds fun. Hows the rescue rider

Cherohala, to 360, 72, down the dragon, then a swim at our favorite place in the Joyce Killmer forest. After a rest at the house took the bikes for a 100 mile round trip on the Cherohala to Topico To get beer.

Thursday we went out 129 South to Wayah road, to 28 North, stopped at Fontana Dam & back to our swimming spot.
Later dinner in Robbinsville then a night run up & back on the Dragon returning back to the house at midnight. Experience

Last day was an easy one for myself & Clayton we went for a stroll up & back on the dragon then went swimming at our waterfall spot. Got harassed by a NC Trooper for passing a unmarked Rav 4, saying we were passing on a double yellow. But that was B/S. He let us go & said keep the speeds down.. & we did up & back on the dragon & saw a few more troopers, but we were behaving & had no more issues.

My gear is all loaded & ready to head home in the AM. but bruce & oxx decided to hit Devils triangle gap & @ 11 PM are still not back..

Devils triagngle is fun but once you start getting into it its over. It looks bigger on the map. There is a few spots that are just fun but you can do it so fast you feel let down afterwards.... Sounds good tho.

it was diamondback (226a) not the triangle. and the roads Lisa and i took were as good or better than anything else we ran all week
