Foxwoods is 2 hours away for me. There is no way I'm going to drive two hours in the winter for dinner (unless you're offering to foot the hotel bill).
If your serious about organizing this please start a new thread and don't hijack this one.
Does anyone else have a suggestion on a place in North Eastern Mass or SNH?

Bullshit. There's NO part of RI you can reasonably get to in an hour from the NH line. Did I just say 'bullshit'???

You said it right there Sam. We're grateful to have you setting these up but to those that live too far away to attend, follow his lead and plan one for your local circle of riders instead of complaining about the distance to attend Sam's. It's an open invitation, but he's not going to drag 25 of us 2 states away to meet up with a few. If there are more than a few, then that's enough to start another Dinner out with NESR in another area.

I know that was a one time incident possibly...........
Waxy O'Connors in Lexington, MA has a maximum 4-way split of a table bill (or they did summer of 2011). Foolish policies like this are reason enough for me to dine elsewhere.

There's your problem, Ken. We all drive.

Same here, except Lin Garden is also a hike. And by hike, I mean long drive ;) Even Manch (local) is an hour. But for someone who drives an hour to work, it isn't that bad.

thought it would be fun to actually see if this was true since I couldn't imagine there being a magical central point an hour from everything and well... he was close. Everything south of boston is about an hour. Everything north is about an hour and a half. NH, VT, ME is way more though.
Nashua- Harrisville, RI= 75.8mi 1:36
Springfield- Harrisville, RI= 72.2mi 1:25
Newport- Harrisville, RI= 49.1mi 1:02
Boston- Harrisville, RI- 60.5mi 1:17 (no traffic)
Manchester NH- Harrisville, RI= 92.7mi 1:52

I was just throwing out an idea that noone liked. Those times are at speed limit and at 70 its close enough to an about an hour. Either way we should just do it the same day and give everyone the choice of which to go to. I didnt realize that suggesting unity could be such a bad idea that everyone hated.
Re: Dinner out with NESR (13 Jan 2012)
Holding a consistent 70 MPH from Manchester, NH (or even Nashua) to points south between 5-7 PM on a week night is a pipe dream. The speed limit is not the problem.

The requirements are:
can seat approximately 25 people (that is what we had last time)
be some what centrally located
affordable
it doesn't have to be Chinese but so far that has been the most successful since they usually have a large enough variety of dishes to satisfy everyone.
Please post your suggestions here.
After Christmas, I will put up a poll to see which is most popular and then call them to make sure they can take care of us.
