Re: King Arthur - Ben and Jerry's Ride - 9:00am Saturday July 19th!
I took a picture every 2 seconds for the first half of the ride. I checked at one point before the card was full and there were more than 6000. I haven't taken them off the camera yet, so I have no idea if there are any good ones. At some point I'll try to put together a time lapse.
Re: King Arthur - Ben and Jerry's Ride - 9:00am Saturday July 19th!
OK...
Many of these will suck and no one should watch them but if there's something you want to see in more detail let me know.
I have all of the images, and produced "video segments" at 4kx3k... but for a limited time.
I'm going to be posting links to individual video's as they are completed (which are pretty raw) and perhaps a compilation after the fact.
(Side note... I leave for warmer weather early Thursday... anything that isn't done will likely wait).
If there is a specific segment or image you want at high resolution let me know soon. Anything that I decide to keep will be "downsampled" significantly.

As is normal operating procedure with YouTube, quality of "new" stuff will be low. It will get better over time. Video uploaded is 4kx3k. AFAIK, YouTube doesn't support that.
More to come... I'll update this post.
Re: King Arthur - Ben and Jerry's Ride - 9:00am Saturday July 19th!
Your motorcycle looks clean from that angle.
Re: King Arthur - Ben and Jerry's Ride - 9:00am Saturday July 19th!
That's the only angle it looks clean from... :D.
In the 3ish years I've owned it I did wash it once. That washing was 1 day before my ARC class. I was worried because I'd been cutting cement fiberboard in the garage and it had ~20 years of 'dust' built up. I didn't want to worry anyone.
There's a (touring bike) suspension guy that I'm an acquaintance with. He goes to a number of MC "meetings". His characterization is:
The the GL guys want to meet up and talk about how many miles they ride and how clean their bike is.
The BMW guys want to meet up and talk about how many miles they ride and how gnarly their bike is.
I continue getting rid of chrome bits from the GL.
I might'a should'a been a BMW guy.
Wifey won't give up her seat.
I'm not sure I'll ever be without a GL (OK, I'm actually pretty sure I'll never be without a GL, even without any other "exterior inputs"). As ridiculously big and heavy as this thing is, the more I ride it the more I love it.

I've taught 1 person to use time tags in YouTube links. Whoooo Whooo!. He used it to make me look like an idiot.
I'm good with that :D.

It was VT Hwy 64. Locate it crossing I89 at exit 5. Also intersects with VT Hwy 12 if you're including it in a route.

"Dear God: Please don't let DucDave take us down a gravel road today."
Re: King Arthur - Ben and Jerry's Ride - 9:00am Saturday July 19th!
The dirt was a pleasant unexpected benefit. Kind of like waking up getting ass banged by a rabid porcupine. How you guys managed to hold any type of speed on that is foreign to me.

Twist throttle. Clench cheeks. Do not release.
..Actually, no joke, the dirty stretch was possibly the highlight of the ride for me. It was a blatant reminder that I need to go to VT and ride those roads a lot more often than I do. Thinking Sunday..

FWIW, Dave didn't. Cheese was leading for that patch.

We need to go hit that Puppy Dog route once I get the DR sorted out.

We need to go sooner than that. Okay, I need to go sooner than that.
Re: King Arthur - Ben and Jerry's Ride - 9:00am Saturday July 19th!
It won't be done by Sunday but it shouldn't be too much longer. I almost have all of the parts.

Jasnmar- How long did it take to upload your videos?
Looks like the end of #24 has the sweet section of Rt 12 we hit in both directions!:hbang2:
Re: King Arthur - Ben and Jerry's Ride - 9:00am Saturday July 19th!
I have source material for 4 more videos that I haven't processed yet.
I don't know how long it has actually taken. I kick off the process, it runs for something like an hour, then it generally takes 10 minutes or so to upload.
It's a few seconds of actual person time for each video.
