Actually, let me put another couple of things straight. Threatening to sue a website is just that, a threat. It's happened before and it will happen again, but no-one ever ends up being sued. This is a public discussion group, not a club. That is an urban legend about SRNE being sued. As far as I know it was just a threat and it never actually happened.

1. NESR has no money, so don't try to sue NESR 'cos you won't get anything.

2. If you want to go a step further and try to sue Jay, Dan or me then I say BRING IT ON. There are such things as countersuits. For example, someone from the ride on sat sues NESR for organizing the ride, I countersue for endangering our members by ignoring police signals, riding in the breakdown lane etc etc.
Basically, if NESR is considered an entity in a lawsuit, then it works both ways. You sue us for organizing a dangerous ride, we sue you for being part of the danger. Guess what, we all pay the lawyers and it gets thrown out.

We will not have this forum turned into a pissing contest. If you want to argue points of law take it to the controversial topics area so that I don't have to read it.

Bottom line is still the same. You ride dangerously or run from the cops on one of the rides posted from this forum and you will find yourself booted from the site.

You ride dangerously or run from the cops on a group ride that I am on and I will make sure that you don't ride with any of my friends again.

There are people on NESR's "don't ride with" list. It's not a public list but it does exist.

You should ask yourself "am I on this list?" and if the answer could be yes then you should consider why and try to address your bad riding/bahaviour.

I have personally seen people killed and paralyzed on motorcycle rides and I don't ever want to see that again.

Joe is a good guy and as i understood it his post is for NESR not against.

edit: i dont believe any old timers here would do stupid thing such as running from cops. i think it's kind of pointless to argue among ourselves but wouldn't hurt as a reminder and for new members. any new ideas for safe ride should be looked at.

i would think that people would have perception of being responsible with full clad leather as oppose to t-shirt, jean, and no helmet. at least the cops would as far as opinions from other site.

yup!

can't bend my boot so i can tiptoe and the leather pants is a loose size 28 and still doesn't fit right. that is why i dont wear.

The way I see this is it was an early season ride that got way outta hand. Plain & simple. No, I wasn't there. So don't even think of coming at me with that lame ass argument. But beet seems to be the only one really owning up to that...

That being said, we will NOT allow NESR to be used to promote any activity such as this, nor do we condone it in ANY way. Sure, we've all gotten a little too hot riding. And we've all paid the price in some way. But let's all keep our heads about ourselves, and get this all done with now. It's gonna be a long summer. I hope this is the last of the bullshit we hafta put up with here...

Please, think twice when you're within a group. If not for yourself, fine. But please think of the others around you. Especially the newer riders that may have found the ride. Maming themselves or watching it happen to others is NOT the way to learn...

i took off early sunday morning to the north end for coffee and canoli's...the ride home on rt.20 was great..

just remember one thing..we all ride a motorcycle ,no need to KEP hating we get enough of that from the cagers...as for reading this thread it seems that some players got carrried away....everbody came out ok..thats important, whats even more important is sticking together as motorcyclists....we should and will bond...its early in the year yet....relax...be safe and catch me in the twisties...

we are all freaks:drink: .....lol.. you just got to use good judgement..hey i can attest to it..i was on storrow drive doing 90...i was just cruising along early in the morning and i look down at the speedo and it read 91..didnt feel like it, i was into it...then i was like ok man....wife....house...family....yea ..i just cruised and layed into the corners.....as far as i am concerned anyone can go fast on the straights...i would rather tone it down and hit some twisties hard...just my 2 cents....
