It's best to have a central meeting point rather than spend all day riding around to each meeting point to pick up other riders:dunno:Quote:

I'm not too familiar with some areas and I don't know if people want highways or 2 land backroads.
If there is at least one person at each meeting point, we can leave that location on the map.
I've never been on a group ride before.

Should I start a new thread? The ride date is ~ one month away.
Ok, the weather's getting better, the roads are (slowly) being washed of sand, and people's bikes are slowly getting together.
How about doing this ride on Sunday, April 10th?
Pick up route 127 in Beverly after Salem bridge. Nice ride up to Manchester, then hook up with 133. That will bring you over to Rte 1A south, back towards Beverly.Quote:

All I find when I go out is old people driving really slow and this this being the age of everyone and anyone having a cell phone, i'm a lot less inclined to blow by them.
Bhavesh, once the weather is better, I'm out riding almost every day after work. I'll ride with anyone so long as they're not a dumbass.
People like to rip it, but be careful, it is very residential. Very curvy and lots of fun, especially in past Manchester.
Another one is Marblehead neck, which again is very residential but a nice ride nontheless. It is very short, but scenic and can be strung together with a ride from either the north-north shore, or south of Marblehead.
Now that I think of it there isn't much twisty riding up that way that is safe.
I'm up for it...pending weather...
I'm in Marlboro, MA and I'm looking for people to ride with. I'm up for it most of the time.

it's dry, and above like 45 degress, I'm up for it anytime. i was out yesterday for like 3 hours.
-------sedition-------
I'm ready too. I found a couple hours between the rain this weekend to take the bike out too, and now I'm itching for more!
y'all don't mind if i come? :)
time / place for meeting?
Date: Sunday April 10th.
Meet: 11:00 AM at Motomarket in Acton.
This fact does not bother most of riders on this forum.Quote:

In about a dozen or more group rides I went on last year, we only had I believe 2 rides where we had 2 meeting spots. And that was only because we were going to be riding right past the second spot anyways.
Some of my fav routes out of, and back, to Bosotn are something like this:
- Few laps on Storrow Drive raceway real early (before many cages are out)
- Storrow to Fresh Pond Parkway, to Rt 2 west
- 2 to 119
- 119 to 110
- 110 to 62
- 62 to 2 east
some of if it is strip-mallish, and small town center like, but there are some *great* twisties, too.
a bit longer:
- 2west to 119
- 119 to 13
- 13 to 2
and longer, still:
- 2west to 202
- 202 to 122
- 122 to 62
- 62 to 2east

Bhavesh, Chr|s is definintely the guy to talk to about riding in boston. I may live here, but my bike has yet to see the city ;)
or rather, the one to talk to about the best way to ride AWAY from Boston :)Quote:

Would everyone just want to meet in Boston in the morning, ride on storrow drive, then take one of the routes mentioned by Chris Sedition?
BTW: everyone's welcome! (including hberry...from Idaho)
Heh, if you saw the movie which the Avatar is in you would get the Preston Idaho joke.
Seeing as I live in Boston, meeting there should be no problem for me :)
well if u were coming through taunton green then i am def in i live 5 min from there. but if the weather is nice i will prob be up for anything..
meet someplace where they have coffee and big parking lot. i don't know any in boston.Quote:

South Bay center off 93 / Expressway. Just a hop, skip, and jump from the east side of Storrow Drive, too. :)Quote:

Actully, yeah, that would a be a decent ride.
start at South Bay center for all the Boston / shore shore types.
then hit storrow, rt 2, to rt 119 which goes *right by* Moto Mart, hook-up with others at Moto Mart and take it from there...
