    Best way out of MA?

I've been touring the northeast for many years and I'm always frustrated with the traffic, slow drivers, etc in MA. I want to go from Southeastern MA. to Southern VT.
Any suggestions for getting there with the lest of the above, but using very little interstate?? I've tried many different routes but am never happy--
    TIA,
    S

your kinda in a shitty area for that lol. i dont know south eastern MA very well so that is up to you. But if you can get to worcester follow 122 north/west not a crazy road but a nice road with lots of sweepers and passing areas lol. follow it all the way till the center or Orange where it intersects with Rt2a make a left follow that for a mile or 2 then bang a right onto rt78 north. awesome twisty backroad. it enters NH at the end of rt78 you come to a stop light just got straight and it becomes rt119 and you can follow that all the way over into brattleboro VT and rt9 which is an amazing VT road

If you've got any questions pm me i'm kinda a human atlas

    +1

I rode this exact route this morning from Sturbridge MA, 67 north to 122 then exactly as above. 78 goes through a state park that is nice and VT9 was awesome!

i have a route it's very convoluted and includes some dirt.

depending on where in southern vt your going you could skip the dirt.

if your pace is fast, you don't mind passing wherever it's safe follow me out sometime.

i doo about 40 min of highway and the rest is back roads.

i can go from sema to wilmington vt in under 3hrs

How is rte 9 west off of Rte 495? I had a route planned to take 495N to Rt62W to 12N to 119. How many lanes is rte 9?

Re: Best way out of MA?

rt 9 in MA is pretty much garbage. theres a different rd RT9 in VT is amazing, high speed sweepers up a mountain with climbing lanes

I'm pretty good with roads and maps and have ridden all the ones mentioned. you could use 495n to rt62 but stay on 62 all the way to the center of barre and then hop on rt 122. all the way out to the center of orange and the left on 2a for a mile then right onto 78N into NH stay straight onto rt119 all the way over into brattleboro VT then you MUST hit RT9 going across vt trust me that roads amazing.
