baller glad you are ok man, you did look a little shook up, but the bike (and you) could be a lot worse. That upper fairing can probably be epoxied back together pretty easily I think, so it may not need to be replaced immediately.
More importantly, I was very impressed that you took responsibility for what happened even right afterwards. With all the times I goofed up, If I was the man you are and immediately learned from my mistakes, I would have a lot fewer scars! It was terrific to meet you and I look forward to riding all together again soon! If the RI party ever happens at my place this summer, you get first dibs on whatever we grill!

They are offered by the MSF, same people that do the beginners course to get your liscence.
There are a few instructors on this board. Perhaps if enough people show an interest they could be talked into doing a NESR only group.
otherwise, check out the msf (motorcycle safety foundation ) I think ironstone ventures does them the are located under motomarket

Excellent point... To me, rider education is always worth ten times more than any bike mod. And as such, I've literally spent at LEAST 10 times more on rider ed than I have bike mods :P
I never did get around to doing the ERC though.

pre-painted, but if you like the decals, order them separately.

You can go to trainingwheels.com for the course. I know they run one in Brockton behind Massasoit college, but you can probably find a course nearer to you.

Sorry to hear the news. Time will go by and you'll forget
the bad stuff here.
But new folks remember always "ride your own ride".
Folks will slow down if you are in a group.
Don't let adrenaline get the better of you, especially on the street.

I took an ERC last year. They are not offered as often as the BRC, so reserve your slot way in advance, they go quickly.
Of the twelve riders at my class, only one other was taking it as a refresher. Most of the riders had been riding on their permit for a while and the ERC was a faster, lower cost way for them to get their license.
So, be prepared for a classroom session and a testing session. I'm not sure if this happens at every ERC, but based on my experience I'd say that's likely to happen at another ERC.

There is more to the story. I was riding way above my experience level. The turn was pretty sharp, when I realized too late, I locked my brakes as I was getting into the lean, hit the sand and landed on my chest/stomach and left hand. when i went to ccri for my license they had an experienced riders class but i dont think it was the same as what theothersean is talking about. it did not teach me anything that you wouldnt learn in the begginers class. The only difference between the erc and the brc at ccri was how quickly you got your license. If you already new how to ride a bike you took the erc and you were out of the class the same day with your license, if you took the brc it was a 3 or 4 week course where i assume they went into more details about how to ride before they put you on a bike. The instructor i had at CCRI comes in my work all the time and last time i talked to him about it he said that they only offer the brc now. Ill ask him what the differences where between the classes next time i see him but im pretty sure the erc at CCRI had the same written test and road course as the brc it was just crammed into one day. Id like to take a class like what theothersean described if i can find one somewhat local, ill have to search around.

i was just talking about the classes offered at CCRI since someone asked about them. like i said what your talking about sounds different then what was offered in ccri's erc. the ccri erc i took was just to get riders thier license quicker if they already knew how to ride, you still used ccri's honda 250's and it was not a follow up to the brc you did not need your motorcycle license to join. the ccri brc is only like 15 hours also but its spread out something like 1 day a week for 3 weeks. once again I'm just talking about ccri courses not what you are talking about lol. Anywyas to stop confusion ill shut up haha but scorp i was just trying to answer YOUR question about ccri having a erc or not. and the answer, unless things have changed, is no they no longer offer it since the last time i talked to the instructor about it which was prob 6 months ago. his name is pat. funny guy was making jokes about my bike having gutted exhaust so it sounds mean when coming down from high rpm lol. sorry i had the brc (actually everything) wrong i was under the impression the one my friend signed up for was a 3 week time period or something. sounded kind of crazy but thats how he explained it to me. Anyways looks like they do offer an expierenced class at ccri still but like i said last time i talked to pat at my work he told me it was just the brc maybe he meant for non licensed riders it was the only available course now where as when i signed up you could choose 1 of 2 classes to obtain your motorcycle license. sorry for possibly confusing the crap out of people :) lol
