We *MAY* luck out with Monday's weather. Yeah, yeah, I said don't bother yet. But watching the way things are unfolding, after a fairly unsettled Thursday and Friday it looks like a decent stretch of weather for a few days should be in the cards. Temps should be fairly warm, but humidity should be pretty comfortable once the battle of the fronts is won by nice weather. That said, I put everyone on notice that I'll be taking Monday off. I'm a bit flexible at this point with that, but I'm setting my sights on Monday.
Again, PLEASE nobody change any plans on my account. ANYTHING can happen with our current situation at a moment's noticee.

My current plan is to run up to Maine tonight, do some work and take care of some in town business tomorrow, run the Tracer 9GT home on the trailer that night, and thn trailer the Thruxton up for spending all of next week in Maine.
With any cooperation from the weather, the Thruxton will see the top of Mt. Washington.

Monday works for me
We have roughly until noon Monday to hit the summit. Earlier is better for us but not mandatory.
Monday morning works for us.
The Auto Road opens at 9:00am. It takes roughly 30-45 minutes bottom to top, usually a few minutes longer for the descend - so figure a couple hours to get up, do your thing and get down. I have no problem leaving my house at 7:00 to be at the base by 9:00. Hell, I leave earlier for work. But I don't know if we want to be rushing up straight away in the morning. It may take a couple hours for the clouds to clear/fog to rise, etc., which may or may not affect views from the summit. They also have the authority to delay motorcycle traffic if it's too fogged in/cloudy, windy, or whatever.
Case in point: It's currently 53 degrees at the summit with a 35MPH winds and less than 1/16 of a mile visibility.
It SEEMS like a 10:00am meet at the base would work with the timelines I'm seeing. Am I reading everything correctly?

Your my insider knowledge, so I'm good with whatever you suggest.
Works for us too.
What wind speeds do they shut it to motorcycles?
I'm no expert by any stretch. But I do have a habit of hitting it at least once a year on bike, sometimes twice.
I'm not entirely sure what the criteria is for allowing passage. Overall visibility along the Auto Road seems to be the #1 concern. They're obviously more stringent with motorcycles. But I can tell you they've let us up in some pretty shitty weather. Yet another time we were denied because it was windy with rain and very little visibility although it was in the lower 80's and beautiful at the base.

Okay, who's in? 10:00am, meet at the base. There's a dirt parking area BEFORE you go through the gate/toll that usually has A LOT more space. Well, at least there was last year. Let's meet there. If anyone has to use restrooms, we can stop at the base gift shop after we get through the gate/toll right quick, then shoot up the hill. Try to cut & paste or whatever to keep the list clean...

Do you know what the route is for your backroad trip north? Depending on your route, I may try to catch up at some point Sunday. Are you talking hitting like, Route 202 into NH or some shit? Follow that into Concord, then grab Route 3? Once north of Concord, Route 3 isn't all that bad although it can be a bit of a pain from Franklin to Meredith. Or are you thinking like, REAL backroads?

Gps is our guide with no highways box checked. We can take whatever route is presented to us since we don't need to worry so much about getting to the autoroad now.
We are leaving from Clinton Mass and basically heading north right up to Lincoln. It's a lot of routes but 13 to 77 to 202 to 103 to 127 to 3a then finally 3. We could hit 3 earlier and head around the lakes. Idk. Give us a rough plan and I can try to link up. Our plan is still to leave around noon which would put us in the Concord area around 130 or the laconia area around 230 if we want to move closer to you.
Monday morning 10am meetup at base of the autoroad:
Stoneman (Jay)
01XJ (Adam & Melanie). Single bike.
Boosten (Eric) and Lisa. Two bikes.
I could probably be in concord for 1:30 on Sunday as well.
Eh, shit. I just realized I'll probably be knee deep in painting the garage all weekend. But feel free to stop by with your paintbrushes, rollers & roller extensions. Obviously your ladders won't fit on the bikes, but I have a couple we can use that'll hopefully reach. We'll supply the paint!

The garage will still be there the next week. Paint it later.
I wish, but no can do. Pics & drone stuff at the beginning of the week. This is almost quite literally the last piece of the puzzle. I'ma TRY to get as much done as I can these next few days. In a perfect world I'd have it wrapped up by Saturday. But...oh look, shiny squirrel!!!
But I like where your heads at!![]()
