Turns out he could have just manually punched in my plate and saved me all the trouble. He did the same exact thing to Lisa. He was giving her all sorts of a hard time. Kept having her get on and off the bike like it was a sport. There was a bit of fuss about us not having a booked hotel room waiting near by. I told him we were heading directly home and he didn't believe us because it was too far away and we should have a hotel booked. It was just a mess. Once another agent came everything was sorted.
All this BS with passports, jeez louise

I never had more than the question of what have I purchased. Amy fruits or vegetables? on the way back into the US
Going into Canada once I was questioned in a way that startled me asking if I had ever been before a judge, Thinking of course, I have been a paid expert in many civil cases. Another time, when I was asked if I had any weapons I failed to think of the Swiss Army knife in my pocket as a weapon, I was detained an hour or more for that one with my travelling companion in a separate room getting her own interrogation

My plate once fell off in Mexico after I looped a wheelie with a case of beer strapped to the back (the beer was fine). The border patrol agent didn't care for my registration and simply had me dig the busted plate out of my bag and I was on my way. That's wild you guys got hassled like that.

I walked to Mexico, parked in Nogales, AZ walked across border, that's where I bought my saddlebags for my SV650, my experience in negotiating with a Mexican vendor

Re: Mt Washington this summer
Took my daughter to clarksburg state park for a moto camping trip. Only did one night to see how she would like it. We found some dirt and gravel roads from Granville up to Peru. 9 year olds don't think dirt roads are fun, so we just road some super back roads the rest of the way. Left this morning in a driving rain storm which was the case for 93.5 of a 94 mile ride home. Not a huge deal for me but not a great first experience for a kid. Bluetooth was clutch though. Kept her chatting and we had a wet but uneventful ride home.
