Looking forward to this one thats for sure!
Looks like the participant list is growing! I've received a couple of private messages from folks working on bringing a rider friend on the 12th. This is great, and I've just requested they let me know when others are confirmed as being "in". This is due to the fact that I need to have an accurate head count for ordering food.
For everyone else considering joining, just reply with a post here when you're sure about attending. I want to avoid running into a food shortage in a scenario where folks show up on the 12th that we don't know about. I've seen what happens when blood sugar levels drop for some of the members on here........ not pretty.![]()
I'll be workingthink of me ... and I hope one of you gets my gift cert

This is really looking like it is shaping up to be a great turn out.
Hey Dave just curious to know what you have up your sleeve for us. Just checking to make sure if I should leave myat home or not. LOL!
Nine more days!
Barring any unforseen circumstances coming up we'll ride this one - great cause!!!
Hey Mike
I just heard back from my friend Brendon who would like to join us next Sat. He will be ridiing two up with his girlfriend Jen.
Well, what I’ve now been referring to as the “If You Knew Drew” ride is four days away. DucDave has shared the route with me but I’m sworn to secrecy! Below you’ll see a short excerpt from a health status update Drew’s mother e-mailed out last week. This family is going through difficult times, both emotionally and financially. For those of you who have already signed on for this ride I wanted to provide a bit more information on the cause you’re supporting. For those of you considering joining, the additional support would be great. Thanks, I’m looking forward to Saturday!
“For starters, we thought we would have some good news to share with you. In a way we do, since there is no bad news. In summary, Drew woke last Wednesday looking like he was channeling the prom scene from the movie "Carrie". Fortunately, the episode last week conditioned us not to freak out and appearances can be deceiving because he was fine once he cleaned up, but we called the doctors and they wanted to see him that day. His counts were stable from the previous visit and he didn't need to be transfused.
Drew then went all weekend without bleeding. We took this as a sign that maybe things were progressing and we would get some good news to report. That was not the case. As Dr. Williams told us (again), we have been "unusually unlucky" in the course of Drew's illness and this sort of stretch of time would be considered typical. Still, maybe reaching a "typical" course is better than what we've experienced in the last 12 weeks (which still feel like years to us). Dr. Williams reiterated that the average rate of response to chemo is 96 days. That's 13.7 weeks for those of you reaching for the calculator. We are completing week 9 post chemo this coming Saturday. It's hard to be patient. Dr. Alli also reminded us that only 30% of kids will reach a complete remission by chemo. Please keep that in mind in your prayers for Drew. The next 5 weeks should be telling for us and the waiting is torturous.”
OK NESRs....if you want to eat, you need to let us know you're coming!

Thanks Dave & Nick ...... I've got a list started below. Also, Just a quick update regarding Saturday. We will be there a bit earlier to start registration. We will need to leave the Seacoast parking lot at 9:00am sharp (I know this will probably turn into 9:15am, but we will shoot to leave as close to 9:00am as possible) as they will have the Ducati demo truck there so we don’t want to be in the way as their morning starts up.
