I wish I could party Sat night, but I have to work unfortunately... I can ride in the day still, hopefully.
I think it is written in Sam Adams rule to drink the Sam Summer during the Summer... oh, and then ... OCTOBERFEST, pretty much like my fav sam adams made!
Sorry, off course there...
So... when shall we party?
well you gotta have the time available :P
sams oktober fest is ok. Otter Creek (domestic from VT) is really good. one of my favs.
Although Ayinger Dunkel is the bomb. A Litre of that on an empty stomach will have you stumbling around the streets of Munich...
screw it, who's up for a trip across the pond? :D
Oh yea... Deering's finest... :teehee:
They were actually really cool, they told me to turn on the AC if I have it, and close the windows to keep it going. But that we were just way too loud, and they could hear us from down the road over the engine...
I said... You got it :)
They never asked whose house it was, how old people were, nothing... So are you goin to make it to the next partay?!!?:drink:
the next party should be on a saturday evening....with a nice long ride all day saturday :beerbang:
I'd even ditch work early and come down friday night :D
lets get the coppers to show up again :shredder:
Invite 'em in for a beer next time though, geez what kinda hostess are you?
So has anyone heard from this Johnybean guy? Is he dead? In Jail? His last activity was when his last post was before the party.
you guys called the cops on him?!?
wow... I'm not sure how I feel about that...
EDIT: Actually I do, that's BS.
he was in no condition to be driving from NH to RI. What do you expect us to do? He was a danger to everyone else on the roads since he couldnt even keep his balance.
i definitely wouldnt have called the cops on him, if he gets bagged thats one thing
How about revive the thread with a few pics

someone should call him or anybody who knows him get in touch with him...
and as for calling the cops...i was there (but did leave before he did) and if you weren't, you didn't see how drunk he was or how he started fighting with people in the basement...i think the people who called the cops did so out of concern for his safety as well as the safety of others...
i know i wouldn't want the burden of knowing that some kid got drunk at my house, got on his motorcycle against everyone's wishes (even after he told the homeowners and everyone else that he was spending the night), and fucking killed himself on the way home. that places the home owner at a liability (emotional and potential legal).
just my thoughts and was it the right decision? who knows but its good that some people were doing what they thought to be the best thing given the situation at hand :)
Well... I went to the police station and checked on it... They said the fact that they have not called the person who called it in, then they didn't get him. If he was pulled over d/t a phone call... Then the person who called would have been notified for a statement. So if he got pulled over, it turns out that it has nothing to do with us... He obviously didn't kill himself or someone else, because you'd think we would have heard about it on the news... so perhaps he ended up getting bagged somewhere between NH and RI!
None the less... thanks for the pics DG!
thank you
its BS they called the cops, but whatever this is a Politically Correct uphill battle I'm never gonna win, but I know I'm not the only one thinking it...
i dont think he should drink and drive/ ride, that id like to make clear...
but calling the cops on a friend... come on...
He was in a car, he left between 1 and 2. One of the "fights" happened when we tried to get him to stay and not drive home. If there were others then Im not sure as that was the only one I witnessed.
He wasn't a friend, he was some random dude that skipped the ride and showed for the party. He was obnoxious and plastered all night. We wouldn't have let him drink as much had we known he wasn't staying. As a home owner, you're liable if you let someone leave your house intoxicated. You can be charged both in criminal and civil court.
I'll admit to having driven drunk, but not completely smashed. He couldn't even stand up. The guy was smashed when I left and I would have done the same thing. I get the whole 'look out for your buddies' thing, but you have to draw a line in the sand.
Lesson learned: Get everyone's keys at the beginning of the night. That's what I do. You can walk anywhere you want, but you're not driving away.
Calling the cops on a friend and giving them your license plate number and general direction is the ultimate in lameness....
My 2 cents.
to each their own but in the end it was the homeowners call...
and to agree with others i wouldn't call the cops on a friend...but then again i don't have friends that acted like this kid did the entire night...
and out of respect for jenna, he came to the party (not knowing anybody) which is totally fine but he told her he was planning to stay the night and then got into a scuffle with some people i'm sure including her, when he decided he wanted to leave (i can attest to the fact that this kid was a little out of control and probably not someone that should've been going anywhere).
it was disrespectful to her and hopefully he is alright and i guess there is a lesson to be learned from this whole situation...
