If you haven't been Racing America i highly suggest you check it out. It is completely different from F1. At F1 you can run balls-to-the-walls flat out on the gas just about the entire lap. Racing America is a MUCH more technical track which requires trail breaking, throttle modulation and finese. The Banzai aggressive maneuvers that tend to work at F1 help nobody at RA. The fastest drivers are the smoothest. You need to pick your passes wisely because if you aren't set up correctly for the next corner you can and will lose that position you just gained.
Aside from occassional endurance race i probably won't go back to F1, too much bumper car action that is in no way helping me become a better racer. I found that in racing at F1, there was too much contact and not enough racing. I'd run in arrive and drives and people would get upset that I was running faster than them. Instead of letting me go about my way, they'd drive down on me and put me into the wall. It was like a demolition derby. Yes, rubbing is racing, and a certain level of contact is acceptable. But My goal is to run open wheel cars, which do not lend themselfs nicely to contact. RA was designed by racers for racers! F1 is all about the corporate events...

This is shaping up to be a great event...Anyone else racing??
I wont be racing but I will be stopping by with the kids to check out a few laps. Should be pretty neat to see all the action going on with this kind of an event.
