Thanks to everyone who made the ride possible as well as who made it to the ride.
I had a great day of riding with a great group of riders. Good pace , no tickets and no crashes.
13.5 hours and 428 miles later I arrived home, grabbed some grub, and went to bed.
Hopefully we can get something like this together again next season. Not that I am against doing it again this year if anyone is up for it :)

It was a great first ride with all you folks. I'll definately be attending more rides/events, that's for sure. Fantastic day overall. Nice to meet you all...
Now I have to go clean the bugs off my shield so I can head out again today.
Don
A great time was had by all, big thanks to Mike for organizing, and a big thanks to the group i was riding with... you guys did great as a group, no stupid stuff and a lot of fun!
I cant wait to get out there again!
ok, now that i've gotten some rest i've got more energy to think about my post instead of turning Fazerchic's quote into an obvious sexual inuendo  ... it was just too damn easy & the only thing i had energy to do at the time :D
Had a great day... think i ended up close to 450, maybe a little more. No tickets, great people as always & met a *few* more people... i gotta get better at that. I only introduced myself to a few at the Friendly's parkin lot & the other guys I rode with.
Beet... good to finally put an ugly mug to the name :D And so YOU'RE the reason i got calls from Nazo & HesSoMistaken wondering what happened... "Beet", "Pete"... "BUT MIKE SAID YOU LOWSIDED??? :dunno: " I was wondering wtf they were talkin about ;)
Anyway, glad you're doin somewhat alright, bro & it's only your pride that's broken, nothing else. Let us know if there's anything we can do :hellyeah:

did nothing that will upset the B.F. good girl all weekend while Oxx is any...
Thanks for organizing all of this Mike, great job!!
Hope you heal quickly beet. Was very nice to meet you.
Gadgett - next time we take MY route back.
Paul D. and I waited at the RT 8A intersection of RT 2 from 11:30 till 12:00 and saw no one, so we went north on our own and had a great ride. We ate at Dot's and did the windmill road. The ZX6 is a great bike and very fun to ride.
I wish we had hooked up with the ride, but we had a good time anyway.
Ken I think we passed you going the opposite way on 8A to meet up with Mike. If that was the two of you you just missed the other groups. It was four of us right around that time, me two up on a yellow 929, two black 600RRs and a red superhawk.Quote:

It was good to meet a bunch of you guys. I had a great time except for the flat :dunno: Mike saved my day by having that plug kit. Also thanks to "CHAD" for finding me a place to air the tire back up.
Well I just got in a little while ago. I'm beat & cold. After leaving you guys I headed over to Glens Falls for the Balloon Fest. I'll post some of todays pics in another thread.
Till next time,
Andy
I had a great time yesterday, just turned the computer on for the first time all weekend.
I had a little over 450 miles, the most I've put on the Duc so far in one day.....comfort level gets a solid 4 out of 10.
I got home took a one hour power nap and made it out for a few drinks, well maybe more than a few.
Oreo? Gixxergirl? Hardcore? Halfsquid?
You never made it out with us?
 :drink:
Hope some of you can make it up to the track next weekend
Sorry Bro, I fixed it
Andy
sorry dude--I fell asleep about 8pm----I'll make up for it this weekend at the track!:hellyeah: :rockon:Quote:

Hi all!
Glad everyone had a great day. Beet glad to hear your in one piece and the bike was ridable to make it home!
Huge thanks go out to those of you that picked up to be group leaders! You all did a great job getting everyone to lunch, and it sounds like your roads rocked! I should have followed you guys....
Big thanks to our leaders and sweepers! Thanks to Chris & Paige, Matt & Sean, Brent and Joel, Sarah and Rob, Bill and ( ? Who ever swept Bills group? )
Sorry to my group for a bit of confusion in our route. I wish I had the time last weekend to run it and work out the bugs. Things got a little confusing due to trusting Map Quest and Streets and trips alone. Oh Well We still made it, still enjoyed some great roads and our group was very cool riding together! My pace got a little aggressive as we got closer to lunch because I was hungry and aggrivated as I am sure a few others in the group were also due to the screw ups. I did the best I could and got us to lunch. Strainge I know it was that I the organizer of the event gets us screwed up heading on my routes..:dunno: I'll know where to go next time... & Next time I will be taking 8A and not 112, 112 was ok..... Oh well..
I'll get up my pics in the thread hopefully this week. Photobucket is still screwing with me...
:hmm:
Next time? Yeah we can do it again, anyone else up for trying it? I'll try it again, but I was a little stressed over the whole deal. It went much better than I thought it was going to. & As you saw at Friendly's I am not a very good public speaker.. It didn't help having lost my voice. It's slowly comming back..
Maybe next time it will be a little easier...
Thanks everyone for a great day! :hellyeah:
what about a scavenger hunt kind of thing? break into groups and give everyone a start and final destination and some maps of the roads in the middle (just copies, if people want nice maps, let them buy em.) Then some waypoints, that are located in places you can only get to if you are out on the fun roads! Perhaps have some kind of tokens or something at the waypoints for proof of being there, or maybe get someone with GPS in each group that can track a route.
Then see who gets there, and when!
no prizes or anything that would condone "racing" as viewed by the red bull truck or local leo's at freindly's, but fun on the streets and back roads with friends.
I had a lot of fun on Saturday. It was cool to see some of the people that are on this site but I didn't really "meet" any of you.
It's kind of like no one really wants to talk to anyone they just kind stare at you trying to figure out who you are.:dunno: Maybe next time I will just take the initiative and run around and introduce myself.
Or maybe I will wear a big badge that says:
Hello my name is: Jenn B
bro mike im fine bikes not as bad as it could have been
i was slowed down after lunch  i should a got off my seat & pushed it :dunno: just a misstake my fault .
i was lazzy after lunch my hip was starting 2 hurt i was pushing more on the way
a lot of shit came in play that caused it
the turn deceved me i hit a bunch a holes in the road i was on the brakes the front bounced & i was in the gravel then the ditch
batabing bataboom
thats my story & im sticking 2 it
Ha ha ha....I am probably one of the few that walks up to people and says..."hey, who are you?" It was nice to meet some people..but unfortunately, by the time you catch up with the people you know that you have not seen in a while, its hard to spend time meeting new faces.Quote:

I brought name tags with me...but I did not think people would wear them :fairy:
Hey,
I just want to give a big up to Jaynnus and gixxergirl. I rode with Jaynnus on the ride up and rode with gixxergirl on the way home. (I was the shy blk guy in the red hat)....
These two ladies were holding down their own. I will never refer to any of my male friends riding as "riding like women"... I now see that may be a compliment to them. I would ride with these two women anytime! It was nice to meet all of you.
