VT Ride 9/20

I have a really nice loop mapped out for a great ride.

Meeting @ MotoMarket @ 9AM departing at 9:30.

Any interest.
Possibility to make this an overnighter if there is enough interest...

I'm in for the weekend thing. My thought was to take 100 and see if we couldn't make it to Newport vVT... But the day's are getting shorter. And come back down thru New Hampshire Depending on who is going and where their coming from? Nashua might be a good spot if some people were coming from North and East as well as South. RT 31 I heard IS GOOD up to Newport N.H.. We could cut over on 103 to Ludlow Vt. and pick up 100 there. What did YOU have in mind Half Squid?

I hope some people sign up. This might be the last ride before the "leave peepers" are out . Sometimes these people forget ther are others on the road that when it comes to looking at leaves or the pretty deer in the woods..well...

I think I might want to do that. Sounds cool, looking for an overnighter. Maybe we can crash around Burlington and catch some VT. "nightlife". LOL. I figure riding is gonna end around 7ish. That's too early for me to hit the hay. What d'ya say .5 squid....some sniping?

Oh yeah I am down for the over nighter & chechin out the scene in Burlington!!

Everyone that want to join the ride give your feed back if you want to do the over nighter. I am sure we can make it affordable by splitting rooms between 2 or 3 people..

If there is not a large responce for the over nighter we can stick to the day trip I planned out..

I am going to put a tenative yes...waiting on clutch lever and if i can get the day(s) off from work.

I haven't been on a huge ride before, so if this ain't for beginners let me know so I won't slow you down.

Also, for a GS500 what type of storage thingy's should I get? See how technical I can be! Showing my newbieness here

Also..anyone having an end of the year bash? Bonfires on cold crisp nights like this..then sleeping outside are wonderful!!

I don't know if I can do it now. I picked up a nail yesterday riding around fuggin Boston....I'll never learn. Anyway, I am serious considering patching this one from the inside. It is nearly a brand new tire and I am pissed off. I ask, why can't motorcycle tires be patched from inside? I can't think of one technical reason. I'll post that as a thread.

Gentlemen (and lady ), the weather is looking PERFECT for this weekend. Sunny, and in the mid 70's. I am down for this ride BIG TIME.

Kewl let me know what you find. So far it's myself you and possibly Trackdog, Cowboyrider hasn't made up her mind yet, (Anybody willing to take her as a pillon? She may not have the bike fixed yet?) My bike is only a mono... Rye whats was your tought on the overnight, pending the tire plug works out?.

Looks like if it's an overnighter I have a longer route planned out, and we will pick up the Iglu on the way west.. We will head out to the western part of the state and hit some nice twisties up to route 100N...

I only wish I could go but with the the girl movin in, I am busy the next 2 weekends. Then after that I will be up for an overnighter in VT. So plan on one is early Oct. as well.

You guys have fun and be safe, a rider from ME was killed this past weekend up in VT., he caught a peg and hit a guard rail.

Everyone agree on meeting At MotoMarket, besides Clayton.

Clayton where abouts do you want us to meet up with you? How abouts off of 119, junction with 202 or 12. Both have gas stations that would work for a break and a good place to meet.. Is that close to where you will be?

Junction of 119 and 202 would be perfect. That is about 10 minutes away from my house, and it has a Dunkin's. I do believe the official name is Fogg Oil(big oil tank behind it).

Also, Downtime6 will be with me, so thats one less meeting at MotoMarket.

If you all wanted to get an earlier start and some b'fast, there is a restaraunt @ the RT.119/31 intersection in Townsend. We could meet a MM earlier and stop there to fuel up the bikes as well as ourselves(there is a Mobil station there as well). Or we could just meet there. Depends on where everyone is hailing fron too. Get a nice cup of real coffee and a big greakfast before hitting some nice frost-heave polluted roads
