Hello everyone.
I am new to this forum and I really like being a part of this group of enthusiasts for riding and racing. I just wanted to ask what a day at the track (track day not racing) would cost for a non member IE TTD. I know I could just private message Tony but he is not logged on right now and I was just discussing this with the wife and we would like to start saving and planning. I am only interested in the actual fee for 1 track day or for a two day event. I went to the TONYS TRACK DAYS web site but there were no prices if you don't register so I was wondering if someone would just tell me what a day would cost at the Thompson track. I also realize that would not include travel, tolls, nor fuel I just want to know (even Approx) cost of a day at the track.
Thanks
Guest and member pricing depends on venue, day and whether or not you sign up for back-to-back days, but all prices are now on our registration and pricing page.

It's usually 200-300 average 250 for a trackday. Gas is about $100 for my truck and bike. Food is another 50 dollars including dinner the night before.$25 for camping per night. Rear tires last 3-4 trackdays and fronts are about double that. Oil changes every 2 or 3 trackdays. Broken parts are a toss up aswell as busted gear. I went through 2 sets of gloves this year @ $200 each and I need $4-500 in repairs on my suit this winter, plus I lost a brand new 400$ helmet. In repairs it was probably $5-800 for the season, but I don't count scratches. Now, all of the last costs can be avoided if you stay on 2 wheels
Usually right around the $200 range. Depends on the track.

Can you afford not to ride on the track?

Ask yourself what a "big speed" speeding ticket would cost. Just do the track day and you'll never look back, street riding will never be the same.
TTD non member
one day - $270(sun) or $240(mon) - both days $475
looks like same price for thompson or NYST
They should use the drug dealer technique.
Here is you first half day for free... Now I own you for life lol
They don't need to.

Thankyou everyone for the link and all the info. We are planning on buying another rental property so I may only be able to do one 2 day event. I will see what the budget will allow. I agree with 2 of the statements above #1 cant afford not to go and #2 I will be addicted after one day
As was already mentioned, some wrong info here. For a yellow group rider a rear tire will last you 6-8 track days and the front 12-15. If you are blue group then 4-5 rear 8-10 front. NYST and The Lightning track at NJMP will eat your tires faster then NHMS. With repects to gear costs, dont crash and fuck your shit up and you'll be fine. My held gloves were showing very minimal wear after 30 track days.

There is no wrong info. That's a brakedown of the cost of trackdays for myself. Others will obviously have different costs, some higher and some lower. I was in no way trying to discourage the OP. Just help him out with the budget for next season. I could add the cost of my truck and trailer to be even more realistic.
<Guessing>There is nothing at the top level of the fly out menu that indicates pricing. There is "Registration Info" and the fly out is "Registration and Pricing", which would imply that one needs to register to get pricing...</Guessing>
hmm.... I wouldn't think that Registration and Pricing implied you needed to do one before the other. Either way, wouldn't you at least click on it to see?
maybe a "PRICING" Tag would be more clear?
It's amazing what people will and won't click on sometimes, as well as the things that influence their behaviors.
Again, in this case I'm guessing, but I think it's great that you are asking the questions...
If you wanted to really get into the details there's always stuff like http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Usability_testing and there are actually 3rd parties who will help you in both setting up and conducting usability tests. We've used http://www.usabilitysciences.com/ before when we needed some contract testing done. Not cheap, but they did good work.
We've also done some stuff at http://www.bentley.edu/centers/user-...usability-labs, they also did good work, but also needed more direction. I don't remember if they were significantly less expensive than other options.
what's the FAKE cost of track days?
