I am optimistic that they’re are still people here who ride frequently. Let’s see if we can bring back some more riding content.
I’ve got a well-worn 30 mile loop that is my go to relax ride. It goes down to Scituate Ma and then along the coast up to Nantasket, cup o’ joe, and back home through some nice mellow curvy roads in Hingham and Norwell.
I rode it tonight.
Trying to get up to Maine for a day or two Fri/Sat and then the opening of the Fryeburg Fair on Sunday.
Yesterday I put the KTM away for the year and pulled the snowblowers out of the utility room. But I rode the SV to work and back today.
Gonna pull the A/C's out of the windows tonight.

What's the difference between a bolt and a screw?
First you screw, then you bolt.
I set out at 9am after the commuters and school buses had thinned out, first stop Verrill Farm, Concord MA for coffee & scone, then a loop that took me out to Harvard MA, about 80 miles all told.

And don't believe everything you think.
Did 30 miles of single track trails at Buffalo Mountain in WV. I'll pull the street bike out when I get home.
Sunday. Annual Ralph Razee ride for Alzheimer’s. 90 minutes plus another hour round trip to the ride. Sore and tired today. In a good way.

We went glamping this weekend, so I didn't make it out. Managed a day or two commuting last week though. This summer's been a fuckin' wash. I'm around the 3000 mile mark from this year. That's a far cry from what I spun up last year. It's far from over for me though, so there's still hope I'll log a bit more. We've got a couple rides planned besides the usual putzing around.
My new go-to "loop" to blow off a little steam when time is short is a quick blast over to & up Route 153 (NH). If I wanna get out and I'm pinched for time, I take a quick spin up to the Effingham boat launch on the Ossippee River to take the edge off. Not really a loop because I just take Route 153 back. But it's an awesome road that isn't TOO heavily travelled.
It's also a great way to avoid typical Route 16 tourist traffic if we're heading north to the Kanc (over-rated, over used, but incredibly scenic), or up to the Coos area, or even getting to Fryeburg. It's a great way to avoid the Conway area getting to places north on that side of the state.

Rt 16 isn't a ride, unless yer talking north of Berlin, 153 will get more congested due to covid, and working remote, lots of summer homes on the lakes have become year round homes, as little work as I am doing, I'm working on a subdivision right on 153 in Effingham, and another in Eaton, I tend to stay off 153 and use Class V roads
I haven't been on my 2 wheelers at all, been spending my time off road on my UTV, got some real good riding on Labor Day weekend at my brother's camp in Vermont. Going out to do trail repair/bridge building, this coming weekend at Walmart in Somersworth

Not sure where to yet, but I'm definitely gonna get some seat time in this weekend. Flying solo Sunday, so it may be a nice 2-day stretch for me. Not sure where or when yet though. I have a few buddies camping at Bentley's this weekend and their end of the year car show is Sunday. Who knows though? The whole "biker bar" thing really wore thin on me...

Last week I rebuilt the clutch slave cylinder on the ZRX, new seal and spring, and cleaned a lot of gunge off the piston and the bore, flushed fluid, feels good. Then Thursday did some local loops mid-day, about 65 miles, to check it out, I love this bike even if I'm using only about one-tenth of the power. I just ordered Renthal superbike handlebar, that should feel even better. Looks like this these days:

Meet up with anybody for lunch in the Valley.......

A friend has the Eddie Lawson edition that he's spent the last few years converting to the Pike's Peak ZRX clone...kind of. Looks sick!
Shit came up this past weekend that didn't leave time to ride. Think, "...maybe Bed, Bath & Beyond. I don't know if we'll have the time..."![]()

Taking Monday off solely for the purpose of going for a ride. No particular destination yet, but I'd like to avoid tourists traffic. Although, a ride up through the notches isn't out of the question. Don't know if I'll make it up again that way this season.
I may take a decent loop down to & around Massabesic Lake and grab lunch on the outskirts of Manchland. Or maybe hit the roads between me & Molly Stark and head that way for lunch and those fine roads.
EDIT: Molly's is out. They're not open Mondays...

Rode the beast into work today. 50 when I shoved off, 45 when I got down to Epsom, slowly rose to 55 by the time I hit Manch. TOTALLY cured my mild hangover in minutes. Can't wait for the ride home. If it wasn't my boy's birthday today, I'd definitely take the long way home.

Didn't stop for any photo ops yesterday, but had the afternoon off from work.
Took a quick loop from M'Boro up through Sandwich (saw the fair setting up), over 113 to Holderness, down Winona (getting a little bumpy), hopped around Meredith Center a little, then back home.
Nice little 60 mile loop.
Weather was absolutely perfect, and was one of those days I could have kept going forever.
Plan to ride to work tomorrow, should be nearly same weather as today.
Pretty rough. Not as bad as 113A, but bumpy.
Closer you get to holderness, the better it is, I'd say.
Might pull it off the quick/fun run loop list for a bit.
