Re: Where did you ride today?
I have yet to get a ticket on a bike, warnings, yes, warnings for warp 3.5-4 x the speed limit (115 in a 30) 3 or 4 times over a ton, and a couple times I was getting a ticket, when the officer got a call, he said "today's your lucky day" and then sped off with lights and sirens
been 50 years since my last ticket in my truck

I got one on Vstrom. Fought it using trial by written declaration, lost, then asked for traffic school and got it.
He claimed to have gotten me going faster than what he cited me for. Planning to fight it.
The ironic part is we usually top out our bikes on this section of road but decided to take it slow.
Re: Where did you ride today?
Keeping the road safe from 10 over while an infinite number of people drove by staring at their phones.
Re: Where did you ride today?
After the most over-complicated oil change out of any vehicle I’ve ever owned, I took the Duke 690 out for a quick spin to get some tags. Somehow I can’t add photos anymore

You've never done a fluid change on a Harley? :spit:

Isn't it like half the time cause all the oil has already leaked out or burnt off?

Haha! Old joke, old rhetoric. But I like it!
Three hole fluid change. Engine, transmission, clutch. Yup, each has it's own reservoir. Good times. But at least they space out the intervals!
Re: Where did you ride today?
Yeah, it's an old AMF joke but I like it.
That's actually more annoying for me. I'd rather just do em all in one go.

I have an old AMF Dewalt radial arm saw, circa 1950, solid saw, I can still get most of the parts

LOL! Every third scheduled oil change, they all align...or something like that.
Although a lot of people do indeed change all three every oil change.

yup that was my spring fluid change every year. Then 1/2 way through the season just crankcase and filter. 'A' months April and August.

I've been going by the suggested intervals. I seem to get some high miles out of vehicles that by following their schedules. So I figured, may as well. LOL!

I was 'close' to recommended factory suggested intervals. The only issue I ever had was one of my twin cams had the cam chain tensioner issue and I caught it a little too late. Cams, bearings, chain, tensioner, etc. Actually not a
bad job in the scheme of things. It had over 50k when it happened.
Re: Where did you ride today?
Took the Ninjette out yesterday for a quick run for state inspection ("stickah"). Got home five hours and 110 miles later. Stopped at Forge Pond in Forge Village for the snack I'd packed.

Re: Where did you ride today?
I took the duc out for a quickie yesterday. 84 degrees and clean roads. Felt great. I got lucky on the ticket front. Caught behind a minivan in a tight corner where I easily 2x it. There he was.

Didn't ride to it as I had no idea it was happening, but there was a pretty huge BIKE NIGHT at the Cycle Gear in Warwick, RI last night. Biggest group of Non-Harley riders i've seen in RI, parking lot was full, i'd guesstimate 75-100 bikes.
Was coming out of Best Buy across the street as it was breaking up, :smash: HOLY REV LIMITER batman, WTF do people do that shit for....sounds horrendous :stfu:

Figured you'd notice this post! Nice hidden spot, bit tricky getting in and out with all the turning traffic, but everyone seems to take it slow there.
Re: Where did you ride today?
Rode to work today. Need to mount a topcase to the Duke.

What time was it? I have a hard time getting excited about being near Bald Hill Rd between 8am and 8pm.. lol
I did go for a quick ride to Ekonk Farm yesterday, then noticed the fork seal leak on the R1.
Re: Where did you ride today?
looks like it's 2nd tuesday of the month, 5-8PM, so basically THE WORST time of the day to be on route 2... I saw :spudnikcop: sitting in parking lots in both directions within a 1/2 mile just waiting for the idiots with no throttle control...
:frown: Sucks about the seal, but now you have a new mini project, fluid, seals & upgraded springs
Was thinking today might be 1st ride of the season, but not looking good at this point :pcbash: ... Will get out for a quick rip tomorrow though, got the day off..
Still a lot of sand, haven't seen the street sweepers out yet...
Re: Where did you ride today?
first ride of year today, rolled my AK550 out of the barn, started right up, added about 4 psi to each of the tires, ran some errands, went to PT, stopped at RMS to pay my account, looked thru the showroom, then went to visit my pharmacist. only 30 or so miles, perfect ride in tshirt & shorts weather

Then turned into a recovery mission.

Since the ride was cut short and there was room in the Uhaul, I had them pickup my $250 Tiger on the way back; My friend in NorCal had picked it up for me and was storing it.
