DO NOT stop at the abandoned General Store in Pelham. I pulled in on the bike Tuesday to warm up and have a smoke and noticed 2 little kids playing at the house next door so I pulled to the opposite side of the parking lot not to bother them. I was looking the opposite way as well. Until I heard growling. I look back to see this huge pissed off shepherd/bull mastiff mix about 20 feet off standing between me and the kids. He's pissed, showing teeth, and protecting his family.
Fucking wonderful.
I have a good sized American Bulldog myself, and know what a dog will do to protect his family, but this dog dwarf's my dog by a good 40 lbs, and is giving me every warning sign there is, hair raised, snarling, stiff tail and tense. I throw my helmet back on, put the bike in gear, and look back one more time, and he charges.
Did I mention Im on gravel, with pilot powers?
I hear a woman yelling at him as I try to speed off. If I dumped it, I'd have to fight this fucking thing., but I manage to get away.
FYI: It's the red general store in Pelham that has been closed, it looks almost identical to the one in New Salem.
