oh heres another question? ok soo when i first bought my bike i was riding and it was fine... then one day it wouldnt start... it kept blowing a fuse come to find out a piece of wire was pinched between my seat and frame... could this be a similar thing that caused my bike to shut off on the highway? or we still thinkin its the carb?

if the wire is corroded and touching ground but not blowing the fuse it could be
