Gonna try this again... Saturday's forecast looks good.... I'm gonna try to have an early ride up north (probably looking at 9:30 stands up) to cover HMR twice, Evans Notch, Bear Notch and the Kanc (or possible HMR once, the auto road, Bear Notch and the kanc)
If there's any interest let me know. I can accomodate some anti-morning slabbers here overnight if necessary.
watch out for those damn cops up north that way....i know that there is one that is an asshole that hates all bikes and will be runnin the kanc on Sat.

+1 , rode buy one of the bastards taking a poor minors beer last month in lincoln
Greg did you fix your bike yet?
Thanks man... fortunately... I keep a pretty much legit pace and **knocking on wood** 6 years and no blues.
Which reminds me... if you haven't ridden with me.. I dont care how you ride, or what you wear.. get out and have fun.. I'll lead a mildly spirited pace but we wont get bagged.. feel free to pass the leader and rip hard, we do like to end the ride as a group tho! :-)![]()
Can you pm me directions to the meet. If its just chance of showers I'd like this ride!
The Saturday forecast is still looking okay for this ride. The forecast is calling for rain to move in later int he day from south to north.
With that in mind, I'll cut out the Mt. Washington Auto Road since that can be a couple of hours out of the day.
The ride will head northward toward the west-side of HMR, cut across HMR over to 302, then down Bear Notch and across the Kanc... A bit of a slab down to the Concord area before we can split off and hopefully get home before the dinner hour dodging most of the weather!
I'm going to shoot for a 9:30 stands up at the Shell Station on Rte 125 in Epping, NH. PM or text me for details!
rt. 153 (i think in the Madison area) is getting fresh tar for about 5-7 miles. I may have the wrong town or section but keep it in mind if its rainy. Been dragging the brother around on his rolling couch and losing track. He liked HMR even on his HD.
"If you tell the truth you don't have to remember anything."
I'll be leaving from the Manchester Airport area about 8:30. Anyone heading east from there about that time? Maybe meet at McD's.
That section is between Freedom and Eaton. Not sure about south of Purity Springs/King Pine, but north of there they haven't laid any fresh stuff yet.
And if you guys are in the Conway area and see a FedEx van tomorrow, wave. I'll be the jealous one working while you guys are having fun.

Time? I don't think it was me. I was off at 1600 but I spent most of the day in the office working on warrants and other stuff. Good rainy day to get all that crap out of the way. Between the follow-up, warrants and subsequent arrest I wasn't on the road much. We also had 4 people on the road so I could get away with it.
There was one guy on a blue gixxer riding 2up that waved to me when I was putting stuff in the trunk of the cruiser around 1500. Anyone here?

Not to re-my ride thread back....
But..... The weather looks promising for the ride today!! I'll be riding this today with or without riders behind!! :-)
If you'd like to meet up, I'll do a sweep of the Shell station in Epping at 9:30 as scheduled and rip it northward. Perhaps in Lincoln we canwith Nikon as we rip through town

slept in![]()
Ya I know it was pathetic - beautiful day, no rain... I woke up at 3AM did english homework then went back to sleep for a couple hour nap that took to long...
So instead of riding today I got to climb up a ladder to cut tree branches, buy a replacement footpeg attachment thing for the dirtbike b/c I can't bend it back to position for the life of me, and do history homework... I'm wicked jealous of those that made the ride.
Ahhhhh alas after a fun 300 miles, we have arrived home, completely dry and managed to avoid all interstates!!!
It was just two of us. We tore up 152 to 202a and 126, (made some noise passing by Stoners house) and stopped at the McD's in Alton to let out some of the morning coffee. From Alton we strolled up 28 (plenty of LEO's so it was literally a stroll. Topped off again in Ossipee knowing there was no other place to refuel before Lincoln and criss-crossed 16 on routes 41 and 113 into Conway. Finally made it up to Green Hill Rd and I gave Tim the 'first timer speach' for HMR and we let it go... The road was still a tad wet from the rains but fun nontheless.
From the east side we headed to Bear Notch Rd which seemed considerably smoother than a month or so ago (Perhaps it was me taking Oreo's advice on cornering on bumps!) and completely unpatrolled and only 1 or 2 cars that were kind enough to pull over for us.
The Kanc was crowded as to be expected. I dont think we indicated more than 60mph the whole way stuck behind way too many cruisers.
We grabbed lunch and rest in Lincoln and proceeded down rte 3 to 175. 175 all the way to Holderness was awesome.. first time I've ridden it and I will never ride 93 again after today!! We stopped at Meredith Harley (I wanted to see if I won a raffle I entered and the drawing was today), saw some guy doing a smoke show on a harley until the tire blew! Then proceeded to sit in bike week traffic for a good 45 mins.
Topped off once more in Laconia and ripped down 107 at a good clip all the way home.
Not a drop of rain. I was in a T-shirt and jeans and my lid most of the day, rode totally squid in the Laconia area since traffic was at a dead stop and we were burning up.
All thing said... a kick ass ride and now... yes... time for a cold beer!
I'm surprised you guys got hung up in Laconia traffic. I went there for the first time today, and thought the traffic wasn't bad. I got up there around 2pm. Now that I have been there, the only sense in me going up there next year would be for the races. I have never seen so many used up, tatted up skanks in my life. Sportbike girls just look so much better. Some of the bikes were cool, but other than that, the place was useless to me. Got in a good ride after, today is the first time that I never got tired, or uncomfortable. I just wanted to keep riding. I got in something like 275 miles, which is alot for me. I'm taking the wife and kids to that stunt show tomorrow, if its not pouring. Probably see you there. Tim
