Saturday June 25, ride and BBQ party!
Ok...let's get this thread back on track now...:)
Saturday June 25, ride and BBQ party!
Ok. I traced a route starting from Southwick, going thru Becket, going all the way up to Williamstown near the NY border, we can go on top of Mount Greylock if time allow for it, then from rte 2 (Mohawk Trail) we will come back towards Springfield going thru Cummington, to Huntignton and then finishing to Springfield for the BBQ. The routes I picked up are awsome, lots of good twisties (some are pretty tights), and the scenic view is just beautiful. Specially if time allow to go on top of Mount Greylock, it is the highest point of Massachusetts and the view is breath taking. There will be stops where we can gaz up and eat. I will soon try to ride the whole route to see roads conditions (construction, tar snakes, etc.) and what not to make sure the ride will go smooth. :D
P.S. There will be maps printed out for everyone with a traced itinary, to make sure we all know where we are going.

I don't get it....again.....(your joke) why is this route anal? I don't want people to complain that I got them to go on an "un-organized" ride and that I didn't know where I was going....lol I'm pretty good with maps and finding my way. :) (it's no fun when you follow someone who doesn't know where the hell they're going...lol) :D

Thanks knobby...lol
We did the route today/tonight. The roads were in good shape, didn't encounter any construction. It was just AWSOME....awwwww (sigh of satisfaction!) :D
We also like to leave and just go where the wheels bring us, but I mostly ride with Man God so it's only the two of us, no need to care about anyone else but us. With a group, I just feel you need to know pretty much where you're going, have a good idea of where you'll stop, etc.
the way i see i dont care where i em
unless im leading..
if i get separated i can get home :D
Saturday June 25, ride and BBQ party!
This sounds like a fun event so I'll try my best to make it to the party!
I grew up in the Berkshires so if you need help finding more places to ride, I could be of assistance.

I live in Roslindale, actually, not too close. No problem with the food though, I like cooking. And with a probable high percentage of males attending, I figure you could use all the help you can get in the cooking department.
And damn it, if the tribal women can carry entire bungalows on their head, there's no reason I can't pull off a vat of pasta or something. :D I'll figure something out.
Thanks for hosting by the way!

:dunno: Tribal women carry houses on their heads? Now that's a national geographic special I'd watch, and not just for the T&A this time.

you lie like a rug. they already played that special, you were just too busy looking at the T&A to notice it.

LOL..I think I know what she means...those women move often, and they seem to be able to pack their entire house items (blankets, dishes, etc. ) in one big basket that they carry on top of their heads... :D They leave their old house behind and build another one later.
I'm helping a family in Springfield who came from Liberia. She told me not so long ago : "you americans have SOOOOO much furniture in your houses!!! In my country, we don't have furniture like this in our homes"
Some people really do live with very little...
